Re: Banger Boys

I regularly go to the spedeworth tracks and I have also seen morris minors raced. I love banger racing, stock car racing and all forms in between. The A60 amble is one of my fav meetings, I recently went to an all westy meeting and a all granada one coming up. There is no problems racing these cars,...

Brought all mine from Ebay (all unseen), Never paid more than 500 quid for them. Always made money. Offsets the student loan nicely.

Re: Top 10 F1 DRIVERS IN A 1098 MOGGIE ?????

Vettel, alonso, hamilton, kobayashi, raikkonen, rosberg, schumacher, vergne, di resta, Kovalainen. Unusual choices: kobayashi, fights the car aggresive style to suit the minor. Vergne, great outright pace, fights the car enough to suit a minor. Kovalainen, used to having to fight a car with underst...

Re: Top 10 F1 DRIVERS IN A 1098 MOGGIE ?????

If the top 10 F1 drivers ,say as the grid last week ,were driving a late moggie ,lets say at Silverstone Who do you think would win and why? I'd go for MSC ,Alonso and Button in that order as they are the smoothest drivers, jut what you need in a moggie. :-? Just Critical of the F1 knowledge here :P...

Re: no more MOT for pre 60 cars

Here here Ray! Totally agree what price do you put on your own safety and that of your passengers. I'd rather my car failed the MOT and the problem got sorted than not know there was a problem. I look on the MOT as my car's annual safety check. Agreed. I had problems with car only recently that I d...

Re: no more MOT for pre 60 cars

Hope this doesn't push up the prices of pre 1960s vehicles, or lead to restrictions on their use. Could push them down.....as I always use MOT as an indicator of Value.......I for sure will be getting mine "voluntarily" tested each year, to ensure peace of mind, and value of my car. An Ar...

Having owned 3 Morris Minors and having both style heaters, I can say that the circular ones are brilliant! I gave the system a good flush through before the winter and I have never had any issues. :D

Also as another point, if the bring it in for cars prior to 1960, won't that split Morris Minors into, Motable, and Non- Motable?

Re: MOT Exemption

By the way, you lot are paying highly for testing - round here there's cut-throat competiton amongst the smaller garages and £30 to £40 is the norm. Same here, I know Classic Car Garages, they are very competitive. I just think MOT's are a good standard for all cars! this stops cars falling into a ...

Re: MOT Exemption

I think it is a Bad idea, more chance for cars to fall into a state of disrepair, a HUGE disaster for classic car specialists. Every car on the road should have an MOT. They system should stay the same, for all its flaws, its better than the alternative

Re: winter tyres

I don't use the exact make but i change to winter tyres from october, not only for ice and snow but they function better at the lower temperatures we get in winter, I always feel they are a good investment. In the snow last year i used snow tyres and chains and never really had an issue, it seemed t...
