Re: New Morris Minor Mag.

When Minor Monthy folded I had taken out a full subscription and only ever received one copy! I have never received any reimbursement of my outstanding subscription monies. Neither have I received any notification of re commencement of publication! Where do I stand regarding this new publication? Is...

Re: what finnish for a woodie

Danish oil is very good! But is certainly not recommended by specialist Traveller restorers because it has no UV protection! And of course the sun does as much damage, if not more than the rain. There are oils that are recommended but not Danish oil. Yacht varnish! Good until the damp gets under, an...

Traveller New Wood!

Hi All
Wondering if any one has had the £2,500 full frame rebuild at Traveller Timbers, Hull? Can they recommend? And exactly just what this includes, head lining, etc. Unfortunately I shall need to have this done in the not too distant future!

Hi Chris!

Didn't know you were a radio ham! We will have more to talk about at the club mechanics day than Moggies. LOL.

Cheers .......... Peter, G4LDD (He who thought your Traveller too good to buy, lol.)

Re: amateur radio operators

Great! You will enjoy 'ham' radio and will be surprised just how well 2 metres does perform! Have a go at CW (Morse), I think you only have to achieve about 5 words per min. these days. Used to be 12 for A license! But once you get going 15/20 WPM is a nice speed. Good Luck.

Re: amateur radio operators

I haven't done any for a few years now! Still have a FT101ZD in the loft. Used to operate mostly CW on HF bands. And was very active with the RSARS award. Call sign ..... G4LDD _ _ . ...._ ._.. _.. _.. _._ _. LOL

Re: HEATER EFFECTIVENESS

Wow! Yes, no problem with my Series II heater in my Traveller. Pull leaver out lovely on knees and feet, push leaver in de mists fairly quickly. I have the valve set to max. and leave it in that position all year round. I believe they are more efficient than the later "updated" versions .....

Re: Electronic Ignition

Gentlemen! Thank you. I am about to push the boat out and order the full Monty on e-bay....... A fully fitted Accu-spark Dizzy. I will keep my old Dizzy as spare for emergencies! Or more likely be 'stolen' by my son for his '65 Saloon, lol. Can you please give me a little more detail about this 'spo...

Re: Engine Number!

Thanks gentlemen! Yes, the block is painted silver, so I guess it is a works 'short 'reconditioned engine. What is likely to have been done on a silver recon. engine? Crankshaft?

Engine Number!

After reading the thread (Engine ID), I checked my own engine number as seen on the 'alli. riveted plate' attached to the block. Unfortunately I can't relate this number to any source of reference! Can anyone give me any idea as to what these letters/numbers refer to, ie age, type etc. .......... RK...

I have a similar problem! I learned to drive in a MM Black 2-Door Saloon ECB 833. I am trying now to establish its year of birth. DVLA records suggest it is scraped, is there any way to find its year of birth?

Re: Opinions please on this Traveller

Well! The best advice really is leave this car. If there is rust then it is overpriced! I paid £4,500 early this year for a car that was advertised at £5,250, there is no rust and it had not seen a drop of rain for 11 years! That is certainly the secret with Travellers. Just completed 1,600 miles tr...
