Whoops!
Traced Jethro's erratic speedometer performance to the cable, the inner spinning part was catching on the outer cable, twisting up and then releasing causing the needle to jump from zero to eighty plus then back down again. Managed to find some spare instruments in a box that came with the car and a...

Damn doors again!
Still can't get Jethro's doors to close with a pull on the straps. I've fitted smaller aperture seals and adjusted the striker plates in, out and shake it all about but the only way the doors will latch is when they are pushed or pulled shut and then the handle operated, then the door pin engages wi...

Re: Door Difference?
Many thanks, I didn't want to buy the frames only to find that they don't fit.
Maybe I'll try adjusting the existing frames so that the top of the window fits a little closer to the rubber door aperture seal.
Thanks once again, much appreciated.

Door Difference?
Hi All,
Is there any difference in the front window and quarterlight frame from a four door minor as opposed to a two door car? I am thinking of replacing mine to try and get a better fit.
Thanks.

Choke Problem
Hi All, Noticed when my Minor was delivered in October that the choke control had a clothes peg attached to it and having removed this item it seems that the choke will not remain in the pulled out or half lock positions. Is it really just a matter of giving the cable a twist at the carb end and rel...

New Tyres?
Hi All, Having had the fright of my life driving Jethro on his old cross ply tyres I have decided to splash out on new radials. Am I right in assuming that 155/80/14 tubeless tyres will fit the original steel wheels without problems? The tyres on now appear to be 5.20/14 with inner tubes. Also is it...

On The Road Again!
Hi All, Finally took my first spin in "Jethro" yesterday after nearly 30 years since I last drove a moggy! What a complete shock trying to sort out the gears with the stick's large movement area compared with modern cars. Seems to drive very nicely apart from the crossplies following every...

Re: Car Cover
Bought a " Stormforce " cover from coveryourcar.com for Jethro and was very pleased with the quality and perfect tailored fit. We live right on the Southeast coast and the cover seems to be doing a very good job in protecting the car from the elements. It is simple to fit, although a secon...

Re: Moggie Door Mystery?
Many thanks folks, I didn't want to do anything drastic before I knew what the hell I was playing around with so it's very reassuring to know that there are people out there with a wealth of knowledge who are happy to advise. The car is probably the most expensive thing I have ever bought apart from...

Moggie Door Mystery?
Hi Folks, Just been reading a few tips on the messageboard regarding getting doors to fit correctly. My driver's door leans out at the top by about 1/4" and I being new to Moggies thought that as the lower half seemed to fit OK the door must have been damaged in some way. From what I have read ...

Re: Hi from a new member
Thanks for the welcome folks, "Jethro" will be arriving from Yorkshire on Thursday 6th October, can't wait to see the car. According to a friend of mine who also owns a split screen Moggy the car was registered in Ayrshire, Scotland so may have to rename him Jock or Rab C. One thing that d...

Hi from a new member
Hi Everyone, Been viewing the MMOC site for quite a while now and finally have the opportunity to become a full member. I owned a Series 3 Minor way back in 1983 which I bought from a friend for £40 and then sold it a few months later. It was called Wiggy and had the Reg. No. 212 XTW which I found t...
