Re: 948 onto a midget gearbox?

I think I might sell the MG box and buy a 948 box.

948 onto a midget gearbox?

Hi

I bought an engineless 2dr 948, its got a midget gearbox fitted as it had a 1275. I've acquired a 948 engine, will it go on the midget gearbox?

Thanks

Winter tyres for a Moggy?

I'll be driving a 2dr 948 all through this winter. How are Minors in the frost and snow? Are the skinny tyres a help? I suspect much better than the silly wide modern ones. I recently had a set of 'all season' tyres on a Renault and I've had full winter tyres on a 911 and I like the advantages. I do...

Re: Is there a complete chronological list of all changes?

Collected the book today, its ironic that I should have such a detailed work on the Minor given the total mismatch of parts that mine is!

Hi

Is there a complete detailed list of all the changes made to the minor from start to finish in chronological order?

Thanks

Re: Front brake back plate retaining bolt size?

Phil - sorry for slow response and thanks for answering, albeit not the answer I wanted.

I'll re'drill the backplates and fit the larger bolt size.

Front brake back plate retaining bolt size?

Hi I am in the process of taking the disc brake conversion off my car and reinstating drum brakes. Its a 64 car with 8 inch drums. The back plates have four bolt holes in, 5/16 bolts fit. But the corresponding holes in the stub axle seem to be 3/8ths. Once its bolted up tight it seems ok but under b...

Right, I am finally mobile since the broken arm, I've fixed the brakes on the Traveller and the fule gauge, filled him up for a dump run tomorrow.

Anyone up for a Southampton pint this week?

Re: SADMOG (Sowf'ampton taawn)

I had my plaster cast off on Monday but its still no good, so I havent been able to fix the brake pipe, looks like I'll be a little while before I can potter about in Mogginton.

I'm in Hamble, so on the east side of our fine city.

Re: SADMOG (Sowf'ampton taawn)

Do you reckon anyone is up for it?

I've got an arm in plaster, that's coming off on Monday, then I have to replace a brake pipe and Mogginton should be up and running.
