opps, yeah prop shaft :lol: the universal joint looks ok, the noise seems to be comming from the rear axel, which is why I think it might be the diff

on closer inspection the noise is been casued by over 1 inch of play on the drive shaft, and it sounds like the rear diff has somthing wrong with it :(

I think this may be expensive, and might put Harriet off the road :(

This has only started today! When driving and I lift off the accelerator, you can hear a very noisy "popping" noise coming from the exhaust. What could be causing this? there are no holes in the exhaust, and it is not loose. I have topped up the carb with oil, and I am on electronic igniti...

I had a lumention magnetronic one, and it failed when it was 4 years old, I got another unit for free. But it is a hudge inconvience when it does fail, because unless you can covert back to points at the roadside, you have to be towed!

Fittting spotlights

I have just brought a lovley set of soptlights (they are chrome ones for a mini)

1) how do I fit them? I was going to bolt them to the bumper, will i have to use any re-inforcement?

2) how do I wire them up? I want them to come on when I put full beam on, will I need to use a solnoid?

go to a lock smith, they should be able to cut you a key very simillar., it does not have to be exact; I have started my mog with the garage key a few times :lol:

if you have a concertina type, remember to use plenly of greese; the way I did it was put one end on, then squish the hose down with a steel rule, get it lined up, release the rul, and hey presto it pops into place!

ok, the problem was the coil was bust! :-?

it now starts, but is running really auful, I think the timing must be out, any tips on how to do it? and is the dwell angel meant to be 60?
