The kit was supplied with the option of mechanical or hydraulic conversion.
Mechanical for the Minor.
Hydraulic for the MG Midget.
The photo I have of the conversion kit appears to contain a 1275cc MG Midget slave cylinder or similar.

The length of the anti tramp bars is 22" between rose joint centres. The SPAX damper lower mount is not suitable for mounting a anti-tramp bar to as it is not a sufficiently tight fit to the axle. I have a spare set of Minor SPAX adjustable gas dampers with rear mounts so am aware of the mount ...

You can call the valve what you like but the valve was fitted for the control of pollution caused by piston blow past escaping from the crankcase.
It has been called a pollution control valve for many years without dissent.
The valve is designed to creates a negative pressure in the crankcase.

The problem with fitting stronger half-shafts is - you move the failure point somewhere else. Unless you are in absolute need of stronger half-shafts the standard half-shafts are more than adequate. If fitted correctly the cork gasket is just as good as the silicon rubber gasket.
The silicon rubber gasket is overkill IMHO.
