Re: color hand brake lever
One more note for the survey, the handbrake lever on my unrestored car is all nickel plated or chrome, and just the small activating lever is black,I do not see any indications of gold paint.

Re: Gear Knobs at last
I am still wondering about the shift knob I posted that came on my very original California car,it is not very likely that someone had access to any other type of early Morris vehicles over here it varies as far as I can tell with raised lettering and coin like serrations on the outside it has the c...

Re: 1949 MM Gear Nob
I am not sure what that knob fits,my car originally had the flathead motor ,but it was replaced a very long time ago maybe even in the 50's when the first 948 engines came out.the rest of the car is completely original .

Re: 1949 MM project. What right/wrong?
The starter switch is the correct style but the newer version with the white nylon end ,the first versions were metal end with black rubber insulating cushions. Also there was a black plywood base under the battery to help insulate the metal shelf from damage.Nice condition steering wheel by the way.

Re: 803 gaskets
Thank you for your reply ,what I wanted to do is make a manifold gasket that looks like the original gasket and fits better ,but you can not trim the new gaskets to fit ,the port sizes are too big and there is not enough material left in the right places to do this .

I have not been able to find out much about door window frames being made of mild steel (painted) or stainless steel and was there a difference between home and export models?
