Re: 2013 national Saturday :((((

Well I had a great time! As for Audrey1955, I am not surprised at what she had to say, reading the harsh and rude comments before the event, which were later removed, her latest comments are to be expected. Well done to all the unpaid volunteers who gave up so much of their time, and thank you agai...

Re: 2013 national Saturday :((((

I'm not trying to sound harsh, but if cars were overheating then surely it's the cars at fault, not the route/terrain? My Morris overheated on the way there and had to be recovered, not blaming anyone for its location, if your Morris can't make that terrain then you should be looking for faults in ...

Re: 2013 national Saturday :((((

Must say I thought as the big event, the 'centenary' we were disappointed. The host, Cornbury Park, was NOT a suitable place to hold such an event. We went on the Saturday, and to get it was beyond ridiculous. Cars overheating, and endless check points. To make it worse, the incline of the path into...

Re: So loud at 65!

haha yourre lucky you can do 65! I can only get 50 mph out of my little 803. And yes, its normal that you cant hear anything, hence why mine if kitted out with sound deadening material. Works wonders, especially under the carpets.

Re: National Rally 2013 - who is going?

Just wondering, is the campsite next to the event fields?

Im staying in a hotel rather than camping, but am taking my dog, which i believe are allowed on the campsite itself? Im with my parents, so we are going to alternate the dog sitting.

Re: Prices for four door?

Hi everybody. I am quite good with 2 door prices - but how much are late four door cars going for in generally good condition, ie sort of top of condition 2? Id try get an earlier Morris Minor than a late model. The late models were built when the British motor industry was at its worse, and they c...

Re: Modern day peoples car?

Hah! The 'poverty' Dacia is a very basic Renault Clio - not even a radio. All very well - it has the excellent 16V 1.2 engine etc and good wide tyres on steel wheels, which is fine. BUT - it is ONLY available in stark white, with huge black bumpers front and rear - and looks terrible....... If it h...

Modern day peoples car?

I heard somewhere the other day about how car brands are always aiming above their stations and thought id share my views on this. Ford, for example, maybe at one time 'peoples car', but theyre hardly budget brand anymore. Yes, they have one of the best selling cars in the fiesta, but thats only bec...

Storing outside

I am unable to garage my minor at the moment, probably for some considerable time.

Now ive read bad reviews on the stormforce covers, has any one tried a touchless car cover, more like a tent?

I just dont want her to deteriorate, so want to know the best thing to do.

thanks

Re: ford zetec engine?

Flathead Fords and now a Zetec. You would be much better off fitting a 1000 engine and gearbox with rear axle to match. Or even a 1300 'A' Series. the zetec engine wasnt for my own car, but for a freind who has one in the US. He needs a bigger engine than a 1300 really, for the long stretche...

hate seeing things happen like that. Just think, that car was once bought brand new and cherished. Hard to think when you look at it now.

Ive read one of the previous comments' from 'theminorsite' , and now realise that it isnt your fault. It cant be helped, and sorry if my previous comments were heavy handed, but sometimes when im a bit passionate about something (opinionated), i can come across a bit severe.
