Still contributing with his knowledge and experience of Morris Minor, Roy had a very funny sense of humour.

I think as Phil says, a trip to the bodyshop is probably the only option.

Re: Difficult bolt removal.
Last week I had to remove a snapped bolt with no head so I used an "easy out" which is like a anticlockwise thread cutter. I drilled a hole into the centre of the bolt and slowly using a small ratchet and socket to connect the easy out, turned clockwise. The easy out grips onto the bolt and...

Re: Do you guys feel safe driving your Moggy??
A couple of years ago a transit connect cut across me and dented the front wing on my Traveller leaving more damage to his side/rear quarter. I think our cars are more solid than some of the modern cars, the problem that I find is that you have to think ahead for the other drivers pulling out too so...

Re: solid brake pedal
I would like to thank everybody who have sent constructive and helpful advice on my brake issues and I can now report that the fault has been rectified. I found that the previous owner had stripped the thread on the master cylinder adjusting rod and to make matters worse, had put a spot weld on the a...

Re: solid brake pedal
I had the same issue, not on a minor though. I was messing with the master cylinder trying to get less pedal travel. After driving a few miles the car come to a stop with a pressurised system and solid pedal, readjusting to give some pedal free play released the pressure and normal braking returned...

Re: solid brake pedal
A change this morning as on returning from a road test when the brakes are fine, I come back and find that all 4 wheels are now seized on when before it was just the front wheels. I've had to real struggle to get the car into the garage and I'm wondering if it is mastercylinder? Definitely 2 wheels ...

Re: solid brake pedal
Just to add to my previous message.. I have attached photos of the wheel cylinders. I cant refit the drum on as it is as I pushed the brake pedal with my hand so I will have to push back the cylinder.

Re: solid brake pedal
After the car had stood overnight the brake lights were not stuck on as before so I have carried out another road test to cause the fault to return. On returning to my garage the problem was back so I continued to the suggested checks on here.. Master cylinder cap is all okay and venting, I removed ...

Roadtest the car no problems until I reversed and went to drive off again where I find there appears to be the brakes locked on? 1.pedal is solid with no travel whatsoever. 2.rear brake lights staying on (of course...

Re: fuel gauge not working
Ive looked at the fuel sender units listed and the correct one for my year appears to be the one in the photo, which has an additional control unit on the top. The one that has been fitted to my car has a flat top with just a connection terminal which maybe the later model? If possible can somebody ...

Re: fuel gauge not working
Update of details .. Fuel sender unit was replaced by the previous owner so I'm not sure if it is the correct sender,I did remove the sender and I can see that it is brand new condition. When I earthed the sender I ran another wire from one of the fixing screws to a good earth and nothing happened. ...
