I think Brooklands is a good idea for a venue as it might encourage a few more folks to turn up. It seems that it is probably better to hold the rallies in the south as the Northeners (on the whole) don't seem to mind travelling as much  Aye... them Northerners are hard as nails... As for the...

Hi :) The other thing which you may want to try is to put some white graphite dust on the end of the speedo where it connects to the cable from the gearbox. It apparently doesn't affect the speedo resistance, but does lubricate it :) Mine did exactly the same some time ago, and I stupidly put WD40 i...

Well Kevin, the sad fact is that it's going to take me at least a year to get th correct papers to move to Canada as a canadian citizen and at least twice as long for America to sort it's collective rear end out, so I figure 5 years is the best bet :) Out of interest, when (and if) Hebe and us go ba...

I'm really interested in this project. If things go as planned, I may be emigrating to either Canada (I'm half canadian) or the states in 5 years or so, so Hebe would want converting...

Keep me informed Ray!

:)

And good luck!

I don't know Kevin, but they probably have all the tools...

It's quite common for farmers who have gone away from the traditional farming and into "stabling horses" on their land to branch out in automotive stuff... May be worth a try :D

Ask around your local garages. A well known Reading specialist quoted me a silly figure for getting my car welded in the boot area. I found a local farmer whose welding is absoutely top notch and who came highly recommended. I also ordered the parts I needed from C.Ware, and there I had it! Welding ...

But your ID code says blue right? I've seen the green. I think she may have been green for a while rather than orignally green. Besides, I like Rebecca Trafalgar Blue. And her interior is so much more welcoming than Hebe's when you've had a tough day. Bright red really wakes you up. Blue is so much ...

So I'm heading to the scrappy some time in the next few weeks. Although the conversion will probably not happen till I'm out of hospital (so the end of August)

After having "bodged" (And bodged is the right word because the speakers aren't fitted anywhere and the radio is just literally sitting in the driver's glove box until I have the car's bodywork as I want it..) my radio into Hebe (complete with a rather stragne electrical curiousness where ...

Yup, I'd back up the mixture thing. When Hebe was still quite a new member to the family her mixture was off and she stalled several times when she'd been running a while. On one particular occasion she stalled half way accross a very busy junction in Reading. The funny thing was there was a policec...
