Aye, and after having seen the photos Kate has up on her website of the holes which really shouldn't be there I'm not going anywhere near said restorer.

Hi Folks - thanks for the advice. :) I'm wondering if a covered Luton would do the trick too - it'll be cheaper to hire and less trouble over the M4 Severn Bridge! Yes, I'd like to have a garage to work on Hebe in - but I've seen restos work before on driveways and there's even a fellow restorer a f...

Hi Jonathon. Cheers!

I'm going to try and save up to go on a welding class. In the meantime I'm going to busy myself with rear diff renovation as well as brake line removal, Master cylinder removal and keeping Hebe away from a certain garage of disrepute!

;)

Hebe Transporting.

Hi everyone :) Long time, no speak I think. I've been busy with a new house, my business and my other car! To cut a very long story short Hebe has been languishing on a farm in Wales until I had room to store her. I still lack a garage (know anyone in Bristol who will let me keep her there and work ...

Well, Okay, B&Q isn't exactly high and low - but it was jolly good fun trying to find one which would fit on the wall :)

I always used to fill Hebe with the nozzle turned upside down. It seemed to work pretty well.

Of course in the future I'll fill her up by using this:

Hi everyone, Perhaps one for the BVS since quite a few members have transported their vehicles like that then. Since I'm using LiIon I hope that the weight will be equal (perhaps slightly less) to a standard car. Of course It looks like it's just getting the car below that 750 KGs... Hmmmmmmm. I sha...

Towing for Hebe...

Hi folks, In the last couple of days I've finally fixed my welder (yay!) and so I'm starting to think a little more about the bodywork and chassis. I recently drove an Enfield Electric (which I now want one of) and noticed that it had a fantastic little arrangement of a couple of eyelets at the fron...

So does this mean I could technically transport Hebe as a trailer? She has four wheels--- but not a lot else!

P.S. I have found the pulley and will be sending as soon as I get to a post office! :)

Hi guys and gals, Yup - looks like we'll go for a double-dip. There's no point forking out money for a ground up restoration (and I'm talking my time as well as parts here) to have her rust away quickly. Dip to find the rust, then fix her up welding wise, then redip and E plate I think :) Cheers! Ni...

Hi Folksies, The web address for them is www.surfaceprocessing.co.uk Apprarently they're the same company who electroplate and prepare the shells for the London Taxi cab company. I have some photos they've sent me and it's all pretty impressive. As well as rust removal they offer either primer prepa...

All about SPL... Thoughts?

So as we are now fast approaching the welding I did a bit of research to see just how much rust removal would be. SPL, a company based in the midlands, have developed a really neat looking technology which will remove all underseal, road muck, oil and paint from your car's shell. Apparently it's les...

Yay! Alaskan Minor (Don't tell PyoorKate - she loves Alaska!)

Where abouts are you? How do you deal with the winter cold with a minor? (Just curious because two of us Bristolians are planning a move to Canada - not quite as cold but still colder than here!)

The custom loom I had from the guy who Jonathon got to do mine was great...

Still is - :)

They braid it for you. I could have fitted it myself but chickened out as at the time I needed Hebe on the road quickly... :)

Thanks for this post! I was taking Hebe's old ones off the other day and thinking "How on earth do I put these back?". Au - do you heat the rubbers up first?
