Re: Charles Ware Liquidator Statement

It's been on the club Facebook group for a few weeks (facebook.com/groups/morrisminors ) but I'm afraid I forgot to mention it here too. The parts supply element that survived the previous insolvency has now itself folded. I believe there is a further business under the same name which isn't linked ...

Ruby Ruby

Although technically a Car For Sale I've put this as a general post because of the significance of the sale to the club - it is obviously a vehicle which we all 'own' so we should all be interested in ensuring the sale goes well. Ruby, the club lowlight, is now for sale and interested parties should...

Re: New Messageboard

I've been kept busy of late dealing with various dramas on our other social media platforms and more than happy to leave Simon following up on the board transfer details, but I have been keeping an eye here too lol so I thought I'd drop in on this particular element. Signature images HAVE to be refe...

Social Media content

I'm thinking of copying some content over from our social media groups to show some of what gets posted there, but then it occurs to me that there are a fair few members here who are already in those groups too so don't want to duplicate stuff. Maybe we could have a Subject prefix or something to in...

MMOC Committee Meeting feedback

A meeting took place between myself and the club directors last Saturday morning, followed up by a full committee meeting that afternoon. Within those meetings, the issues about the dissatisfaction felt by members and club officials with the current management and maintenance of the message board, a...

Re: Bmcecosse

As I suggested a few days ago, the winds of change are blowing through the hallowed halls of MMOC towers and I have another meeting with the powers that be this Saturday, after which I'll give an update here which may help lessen some of the fears being experienced about longevity of valuable conten...

My ultimate upgrade

I did more than a decade with a 1098 before opting for a 1275 swap which I found a great upgrade. Some years after that, I wanted to go further and had my 1275 treated to a few more goodies and upped it to a 1330cc, which served me well for another 60k miles. The engine then sat for a number of year...

Re: Unable to add name to send private message

Just soldier on a bit longer with the faffing about on the board guys - I know I've hinted at it before, but following my playthings leaving the perambulator at considerable velocity recently, a meeting is scheduled very soon to put forward positions and ways forward.

Re: Minors to Mull

Seeing these pictures is starting to revive my Traveller mojo. Nearly four years off the road and I'm now re-assembling, I'm almost at the replacing the timber stage so hopefully will be done this year. I was thinking of selling once it's done but - Traveller - Scotland - camping......................

Re: Traveller 1954 towing Caravan

Sorry guys, I didn't spot that we were talking about an 803. Yes, scratch my earlier comment, that's a lot harder proposition! Mike - those are *wonderful* photos! Tom M. Cheers Tom! You've reminded me that I didn't put up the remainder of photos after our mag editor had chosen the ones he wanted fo...

Minors to Mull

Follow up from the articles that appeared earlier this year - I'd given our editor all the photos to choose what he liked best from, but it's only just occurred to me that I didn't put the remainder online once he'd done that. In case anyone would like to see them, here's some of the hundreds of pic...

Re: Traveller 1954 towing Caravan

Well, never say never. Yes, any 'proper' mainstream vans are going to be a stretch, but there are a few 'micro' caravan styles around that are very lightweight, or do what I did and build your own on top of a Halfords trailer chassis (okay, I didn't personally build it, I gave the chassis and some s...

Re: Follow up

Just doing the last batch of new member authentications before Christmas, and feeling a bit taken aback at all your very kind words. Don't imagine that it's 'just another comment' as all of them are very welcome indeed and it's incredibly gratifying to see that members here do see some of the effort...
