Re: Spotted today.

Traveller going through Bromley Common on the A21 heading away from Bromley.

EJC or EVC navy in colour.

It overtook the bus I was on but wasn't expecting to see one, so appologies for the vague number plate.

Re: Welding Gas - Can anyone help? :D

I used to have refillable bottles when building a kit car. Ran both out, went to get refilled and no they won't refill. I have had Co2 mix, but all my latest disposable ones are just CO2. I got my last one at toolstation. No issues and it's just CO2. They say argon is for aluminium. http://www.tools...

I'd guess its a minor chassis with modern replica body.

Same as Ford Siva which was using a sit up and beg Ford Popular chassis.

Re: Dissapointing brake linings

Has anyone elver taken theirs in for re-lining?

I know I watched wheeler dealers once and they brought a Polish car so could not get shoes over here, so went to a company that reclined the old ones.

Not sure of the company though.

Re: Handpainting?

This is my chassis with enamel coach brushed on. I didn't rub it down after, but didn't want that to be blemish free. In places it does not show brush marks. I got cheap gloss paint brushes as one from the supplier lost hairs very quickly. Plus order more then required as mixes do not match. I had 5...

Re: ht lead colour?

I may be wrong, but most HT leads will have suppression stamped on the PVC, so may find plain black a night mare to find. I am only saying that as when I built my two seater sports car, it had to go through a test by VOSA and it had to be shown they was suppressed. Mine were a pre made set from the ...

Re: '69 traveller rebuild

Regarding welding.

I found I have my good and bad days even after 15 years.

I agree though good welds are in the wrong place. I find ones that are to be on show, don't come out good. Once that are to be hidden or ground flush come out the best.

Re: Type 9 to mk2 escort back axle prop shaft

I had a prop shaft made for one of my cars. (Mk2 escort box to axle)

I just supplied the details to the supplier and they made it to suit. He calculated the figures wrong twice mind so it was too short, but been running now for two years and all ok.
