Brakes - HELP
My moggie passed her MOT yesterday, but the brakes are still pretty shocking! I know that they will never be that hot on a car with drum brakes, but these are not that good. Cylinders on the back have been replaced and one on each side at the front as one was leaking and one was seized. It's had new...

Re: Tank not allowing fuel to come out :-(
So, at the top of the internal intake pipe there is a seal? If that seal was damaged or perished could I push the intake pipe out and re feed with an O ring at the top?

Re: Tank not allowing fuel to come out :-(
Can I really build up enough pressure by blowing through a huge filler hole and enable petrol to travel up the pipe and along the main fuel line to the pump? Sorry if I sound stupid.....

Re: Tank not allowing fuel to come out :-(
The main line from the pump to the tank is clear. It appears to be a problem within the tank itself. If it's the uptake pipe which is blocked then how would one try and clear it?

Tank not allowing fuel to come out :-(
Can anyone advise please...... Worked all day yesterday to make sure my 1962 saloon was ready for MOT. In the process I noticed a leak from the fuel tank and so changed the tank (a borrowed one from my 1970 traveller). I went to put the car away, it started, ran and then cut out. It sounded just lik...

Dynamo to Alternator
My first (no stripped down) morris 1000 arrives today. It's a 1962 two door.
I'd like to change the dynamo to an alternator and wondered if this was a fairly easy job and what sort of modifications have to be made etc?

Re: Is this tax and MOT exempt
I've gone with Footman James for Insurance and I have breakdown cover on any car that I'm driving or a passenger in with the AA. They cover any roadworthy vehicle up to 3.5 tonne.

Re: The rebuild of Frankie Jordan (70's Trav)
After a break (due to a derelict farm shop project) I'm now focused on my traveller again. I've decided to have the blasting done after all the repairs, but I need your help please. The car needs repairs to front, middle and back. In my opinion it's the front that needs the most help including chass...

Re: Pitted panels - how to deal with them
Sorry to drag this thread back up.
Had a bit of a break from the Moggie, but back on track now.
Can I use the steel knotted wire brushes on the panels which fits onto an angle grinder or is this too harsh?
