i use a bit of tube used for the wiper washing system

for dispose, ask in the car workshop of your trust whether they dispose it for you. i little tip could help
or go to a garbage- or recycling center

if you want to fit a ribbed case to an original 948 engine, you must change engine backplate, flywheel, clutch.
the ribbed case gearbox should be with clutch lever and gear lever, because the ones from the smooth case gearbox do not fit.
I did this change on my 61 saloon with 948 engine

here you can see the left one already replaced, the right one cut. As you can see, the car was placed on a hydraulic lift. In the front placed under the a-post, in the back at the front spring hanger

I did not do the repair myself, but had the chance to take a look during the repair

just back from a tour form Wedel (near Hamburg) to Schneeberg (Erzgebirge) one distance 335 miles. Thoughts about rocker cover gasket

i found 3 types of rocker cover gaskets the original cork gasket, a rubber gasket and a silicone gasket. Does anyone have experiences with the rubber or silicone rocker cover gasket? The cork gasket should be known.... sorry i dont find the link to the rubber gasket.... here a link to a silicone gas...
