Re: 75th Anniversary Stickers

No plans for four door at the moment I’m afraid (sorry). If I do any four doors I’ll let you know. The trouble with doing lots of different colours isn’t so much minimum order quantities, I can have just one produced, it’s minimum pricing. It wouldn’t be cost effective unfortunately. Thanks simmitc ...

Re: 75th Anniversary Stickers

No offence taken at all. I fully expect non club-branded ones to be more generally appealing. I’ve also put together this one. Thoughts? I may be able to come up with something else a bit different with a traveller, as I’ve currently got an artist doing a bit of work for me. But it would depend on h...

Re: 75th Anniversary Stickers

Thanks for the feedback. I’ll get some Traveller ones made up. I’ve got one Traveller design completed so far, which is shown below.

Looking forward to the photos rolling in from around the globe.

75th Anniversary Stickers

Firstly, I hope I’m allowed to post this here. I’ve designed some 3” internal stick 75th anniversary Morris Minor stickers. I’ve had 50 produced to mark the occasion. I may do some Traveller 70th ones as well. Depends whether there is any demand. They’re £3 each + £1.50 first class postage & pac...

Re: Any Volvo 240 owners here?

I’ve had a couple of 740 automatics. Excellent and dependable cars but as others have said quite thirsty. Just a thought, but if you want a more efficient yet dependable, comfortable modern classic as a daily why not consider something like a Rover 75? Where’s the old Volvos have already appreciated...

Re: Too much pressure from new fuel pump.

Sure I've seen this question b4, fitted new fuel pump, but now leaking fuel past bowl at carb, it's not float problem, but too much pressure from fuel pump, is there a fairly easy way to fix this without buying expensive inline pressure regulator. Thanks I had this problem last year after fitting a...

Re: HS4 carb needle

I would suggest a good start would be to quote the number on the carb tag. For example a AAQ needle is fitted to a AUD354 HS4 SU carb as fitted to a 1275cc Morris Marina circa 1971 - 1972.. Once the carb number is known a qualified opinion can be given. Thanks. I believe the HS4 is FZX1189, which I...

HS4 carb needle

I’m going to be fitting an HS4 to my standard Marina 1275cc engine, along with matching Marina manifold, exhaust and a K&N cone filter. Essentially everything standard Marina, except for the filter. The carb is a refurb unit with needle AAQ, but this I presume is intended for use with a standard...

Re: New Owner, finally

Thank you for the kind words John and svenedin, can't wait to get driving! Good suggestions with the names too, Percy might have a nice ring to it, who knows... Let us know what you decide :D Penny is a nice old name if you’d prefer a female name and decide to go with the registration letter thing.

Re: New Owner, finally

(A new thread from my original in the young owner's section) Just got back from viewing a car... which I've decided to purchase! I've attached some photos of it. I'm officially a Morris Minor Owner :) If anyone has any name ideas, do let me know :) A fantastic looking car, congratulations!!! I hope...

Re: Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas Minor Folk Every year it seems that I have to ignore my own rule about venturing out on salted roads in the winter which is why I have to go out in disguise to collect my Christmas tree from a local farm. A convertible is a surprisingly practical car for transporting a Christmas tre...

Re: Car covers…

For my last saloon, which ended up living outside, I bought a three layer cover from Amazon. Cost £60. I never saw any condensation under it. If you don’t want to break the bank it’s worth considering. The downside is the securing clips are poor quality, but that’s not an issue for a garaged car: ht...

Re: How much fun?!?!??

A Morris should handle it all easily. If you haven't read it (and I'd recommend the book), in Magnificent Morris Minor, Max Horvat tells how travelled huge chunks of Europe and traversed almost all of the Alpine passes in his Morris - as well as much of the UK. If his Morris managed all that, Apple...

Re: How much fun?!?!??

As a young lad I had an MGF. Whenever it snowed I too would seek out large empty car parks for “snow practice”. Boy that car was fun. Another time I remember arriving at a local classic mini club weekend in blizzard like conditions. It was in this pub, within a caravan site, which was up the top of ...
