Ive just drove down to the road near me about a mile and the car was fine but now I cant get it to start. When i turn the key the engine ticksover but dont start. What can I do!!

I havent had a look at the speedo when tring to move but it was going round when i was being towed. It does roll when its in neutral. It doesnt work in any gears and there is about 1" free play in the clutch pedal (is this bad news).

I managed to get home safely because my dad towed me thanks for asking. Oh ok then thanks for letting me know is the electric one better or just a matter of opinion.

That yellow cable is a direct connection fro the battery terminal to the car radio but I am thinking of getting rid of it as I never use it. I might look into moving the rubber pipe in the future but at the moment it has no damage to it and as far as I know it been here from new.

Ive attached a photo where I have circled to components in the engine but im not 100% sure what they are as im still new to morris minors. Would I be right in saying ine is a fuel pump and the other is a fuel filter[frame][/frame]

Hi I was unscrewing the indicator cover and loosening the steering rack bracket near the top to try to get the indicator to self cancel when for some reason the horn went off and so I rotated the indicator back to its original position and then the horn went off but now I cant get it to work. I have managed to fix the speedo just by tapping it like you said. Thanks for the advice it must have been a bit of dirt or something.

The odometer is still working must just be a bit of dirt on the needle I think?

Thanks How would you recommend cleaning the engine? Jet washing it seems to harsh.
