Well done mate you have done alot .. including marage and a sprog on the way i can't give much of an update on mine unfortunately the rear seatbelts should be easy to fit I used peugeot 206 ones in the Morris seemed to go really well .

It's a very rewarding experience and enjoyed most of it.. Its a great feeling bringing something back to life.. This pandemic is crazy and hopefully will end soon. The only upside is it gives me more time to tinker around with the car

Hello all sorry for not replying for a while. My moggie went on the road last week for its first test runs. Find the rattles and stuff. Drives lovely and a great feeling getting it on the road

Sorry for the delay in replying here work is still going on with the moggie it's close very close to completion alot of reassembly and searching for the last few parts I can't upload pics Doe some reason but I'll ty upload to photobucket and share

Little update . starting to look more like a car now that its all one colour . having a slight issue with the top of the drivers door . there is a massive gap between the top of the door and the body . a little pic of it . if anyone has any ideas why the door won't fit let us know

Small update sorry its taken so long a baby and work the moggie took a back seat I've hit a massive problem with the restoration long story short I lost the vin plates .. I have the number but I've no log book :( I'll try upload pics thre now of it in its current state

Thanks guys for the replys I figured out the problem there was a crack in the dashpot so I wasn't getting vaccum inside it .. it took ages to spot but I'm delighted to find it was something stupid

And as I said it idles perfectly .. although a little fast but still running fine on 4 cylinders

Oil in dashpot and valves set to 15 thou today turned over the engine today with the rocker cover off and all valves seen to be bouncing up and down OK .. it's puffing white smoke out the carb and juddering to a stop of you rev it up .. there was one flame did pop out the carb but the rest is white ...

I thought it would run with the top off the float bowl .. I'll go out and have a gander again tomorrow the line from the tank is new and the pump is strong but I might have missed something .. I am after noticing though . I did the valve / tappet clearances and I set em all at what I thought was 15t...

I've tried with 2 sets but one set .. the one I'm using are the original hard leads with the brass tops on them .. I didn't think it would be the leads if it runs perfect on tickover

Yep it moves up easily and goes back down with a clunk . I've tried running it with the top off the dashpot and without and it made no difference as well

Hi all I've a 67 1000 mog engine starting to get on my t*** when the engine went in first it started no problems at all and ran well after her winter lie up I went to start it again and it's running strange .. it will start and run fine and idles OK but as soon as I touch the accelerator she goes to...
