Morris Austin

My late grandfathers name was Maurice Austin,he did his apprenticeship with Wolesley! I am not 100 percent sure, but i have been told that when he worked for GKN,he had some sort of working relationship with Issigoniss.

Re: Play in the front wheel

Have an assistant apply the foot brake while you test for play,if there is play with the brake applied the problem is with the suspension/steering components.

Re: Vinyl cleaning

Like i said in my first reply, clean with a decent cleaner (acetone or similar) and a nice rub with baby oil...cheap as chips and fab results.Sorted for less than £2.00 If it is really bad resort to dye.

Re: Vinyl cleaning

Or you could use a leather dye to change the colour,i changed a rear seat from red to black,as i could not find a black back seat.only cost £8 ish looks fab and wears well, gave it a good clean first with acetone and a rub with leather dubbing afterwards.

Re: servo assisted brake problem

Do the unions up tight, check and check again, air can be pulled in,even if fluid is not leaking out, worth having a look at the wheel cylinders too.
