Re: it's been a long time...
Well, well, well... It's been a while since I've been on here - but I received a notification about an old thread I started! On the subject in question - I was firm with the insurance bloke that I wanted the car repaired which the company duly honoured. The work was done by John at Bristol Classic C...

After a night of worrying about having a borked Morris with no other vehicle to get us around I had another look in the morning... It was the castellated nut that secures the damper arm to the top of the metal thing connected to the rubber roundy-roundy things. I reckon when the replacement dampers ...

front bearing? perhaps?...
Right then you lot... no laughing. I know it's tempting whenever I get on here and ask a screwdriver related question. Front passenger side wheel has wibbly wobbly free play when you grab it firmly and shake it. You only notice this when the wheel's on the floor and there's no jacking involved. Basi...

no excuses
Hello you lot. It's been quite a while since I've been on here - but I should be able to put that right now :D . We're off to France to live at the end of August, I'm not working for the NHS anymore and I'm not doing any union work either. So I should be annoying you on here frequently from Septembe...

Headlight conversion for driving in France
I think I'll need a permanent conversion for this too. I don't suppose there's any Dutch Morris headlights lying around in a box in the midlands anywhere...

Le certificate de conformite and Morris Minors
Anybody out there done this? We are NOT leaving Fifi the little black moggy behind when we run away to France this summer. For all those who expressed concern at her being t-boned a while back, she's currently being rearranged into something more Morris shaped by the wonderful Johnny Morris at Brist...

cheers for that
I shall check any paperwork before I start posting stuff off to make sure that I keep possession of the vehicle while the case is in progress. I'm feling a bit more optimistic now.

Hi Onne It doesn't look too good. The nearside door is buckled (there's a crease at the quarterlight post) and won't close properly, the rear nearside wing is pushed in past the wheel, but more concerning is the back panel under the nearside rear passenger window. That's been thumped in and a crack ...

I've only come on here for some sympathy. Our lovely moggy was t-boned over the weekend by a bleedin' Audi. She's off the road - and I'm worried. Fifty years old, lovingly cared for and now not very happy at all. I've got fully comp cover with Footman James, and the fault was obviously with the othe...

date of change of brakes
Can anyone tell me when the change was made to the larger brakes on the mog? Stupid question really - no doubt someone out there knows who fitted the first set of the uprated ones AND what they had in their flask for lunch...

So would it be possible to run the flasher relay as well as a separate non-flashing line to the trafficators? It may sound odd Ray - but the trafficators are one of those nice old pieces of vehicular history that I really value, like bakelite switches (I know it's sad). However we use the car as a d...
