I don't know your circumstances Pb, but it's not too bad a job, why not have a go, half the beauty of owning a moggy is you don't need to pay a garage!

You can release the bonnet with a hammer handle or similar passed through the front grill near the top, locate the sliding mechanism (centre of car) find the protruding lug (just off centre towards drivers side)and push it to your left. It may need a sharp tap.

I wouldn't say you hesitate in any form T72, quite the opposite, the information I posted has been borne out by people of your own era in fact. Not all the oil is removed from the engine, what about the nooks and crannies that dont drain? The suspended muck is going to settle somewhere once general ...

The metal thickness of the rear axle casing arms is a full 1/8 inch. I discovered this by cutting one up, as I had been wondering if the pitting on my axle was bad enough to effect the strengh. Hope I'm not alone in collecting this sort of info!

Whilst on the subject of thiefproofing a moggy, I have been using for a number of years, a clamping device that stops the brake and clutch pedal being depressed, its home made and heavy duty, but quite compact.A thief could tow the car away but this is a shortcoming of most devices. A friends morris...

Has any member any experience of superchargers as fitted to a minor. I understand they can make the engine more effecient and a better bet for touring. It also appears to have been a popular mod, once upon a time.

I rather like bottle jacks, they can be positioned accurately and they can have the top platform adapted to suit your favoured jacking point, simply by making a selection of 'tops' that fit over the original. Of course some of these jacks, whilst giving a good amount of lift, might not fit under the...

Thanks for the replies all. I should have put more info in my original post, it is only the inside payload area that I want to paint with a brush, mainly to avoid a fog of fumes in a confined space and want a cellulose based paint so that there is no adverse reaction if the end result is disappointi...
