Re: Reverse gear (or lack there of)

No O ring around the large ball.

As ManyMinors advised "Just google search "Morris Minor gearstick" and there are plenty for sale from about £15.00 upwards"

Just make sure you buy the long reach one. :tu1:

Re: Reverse gear (or lack there of)

Ok.
As I'm sure you know there are 2 sticks for the A series boxes (Morris, MG Midget etc), a short reach for the 948 smooth case top of the picture and a longer reach for the 1098 ribbed case bottom of the picture.

Re: Reverse gear (or lack there of)

Just a thought have you got the correct gear stick for the 1098 box?.

Re: Goldseal fan belt

Yes it happened to me, the dynamo pulleys can differ in size, so there isn't a standard sized belt. I measured around the circumference of the pulleys and brought a B section belt to that size.

Re: LCV Register

If you click on Minor LCV Register top left it takes you to the new landing page, there is no forum link in the drop downs so it looks like the forum is no more.

Re: MM Parcel Shelf

Just to add, series MM and series 2 weren't padded, they are just a right angled length of steel which lines up with your shins!... The steering column goes under the parcel shelf.

Re: LCV Register

Does Brian Lee still have anything to do with the register, if so maybe worth asking him.

Re: LCV Register

Has been offline for a couple of days, I assumed it had been removed in favour of the social media groups, as it has been somewhat of a wilderness for a long while now.

Go for an automotive paint panel wipe such as UPOL.

Re: Series MM axle removal

Hi, I can see no reason why, possibly the added weight of the Nuffield axle, I've removed the rear axle on my 49 with the springs in situ with no problems.

The LCV forum is back up, although it does seem its a bit of a wilderness as far as posts are concerned...

If the LCV Register is just on Facebook, then I won't be joining it, FB is not for me :-(

Re: LCV

I've just purchased a van and was thinking of joining the LCV register, is the register still running?.

Does the MMOC have a LCV register?, if not may be worth thinking about forming one.

thanks Martin
