It's down to the oil in the gearbox transmitting a slight motion to the output shaft....no problem.

I was being a little " tongue-in cheek" , as a lot of the bullets seem to be siezed in the connectors...plenty of lube when assembling..

Sorry Mike , but have to disagree,having a stainless system on my 2.0 Zetec there's no noticable strangling but still the " fart "...

I think there are two trains of thought re. polishing the inlet ports , one ( polished ) is that it helps gas flow , the other ( rough ) is that it helps swirl the mixture... ?
