Isn't there a built in one way valve so the only oil to escape when fitting would be from the centre ?

Dear All Wanting to fit a 1.3 : 1 rocker set-up with pedestals etc ... Is it possible/acceptable to change the rockers/shaft/pedastals with the engine in situ without replacing the head gasket ? ie. head bolt re-torqueing? Thinking of releasing the rockers,withdrawing the rocker shaft , replacing on...

Vacuum advance units..... Well, I've had a few new ones from dealers and Fleabay and the majority are cr4p , if you're used to sucking eggs it's easy, just suck on the pipe fitting and without letting go, cover the pipe opening with the end of your tongue... you'll be able to feel the vacuum holding...
