Re: What brand of Degreaser?
Have heard some very good reports on Morris Lubricants 'Lydian' professional solvent degreaser, though haven't as yet tried it myself. It's available mail order or from their stockists.

Re: 1952 series MM
Suggest you also post your message on the 'Series MM Register' section under 'Registers and Branches' further down the Board Index page from 'General Discussion'. You'll find lots of Series MM 918cc sidevalve owners and experts visit that section - it's an area the Message Board specifically for tho...

Re: spigot bush for sale?
You're partially correct Colin as regards the Morris 8 spigot bush being exactly the same (I actually own a 1936 Series I Morris Eight). However it's only the 1939 to 1948 Series E models with the counterbalanced crankshaft and four speed gearbox that used an Oilite Bush identical in size to the MM....

Re: spigot bush for sale?
I think you'll find that this Plain Imperial Oilite Bush from 'Get Your Bearings' is of the correct size for the spigot bush: Part No. AI101220 - Internal Diameter: 5/8" x Outside Diameter: 3/4" x Length: 1.1/4" http://www.getyourbearings.co.uk/plain-oilite/ai101220.html Some cranksha...

Re: MM fan blades
Viewing your second photo in its correct orientation, I'd say your blades are incorrectly fitted, they're not cutting into the air, pulling it through the radiator and over the engine. The red blades attached to the grey engine although non water pump fitted are I believe fitted correctly. Something...

ESM offer a B36 - their part code: SV114 which they claim to be a better fit than the B33 and B34 they've offered in the past for 'with water pump fitted' cars. Simply Bearings Ltd also offer a B36 which they claim to be the following size: Top Width: 17mm Thickness or Depth: 11mm Outer Circumferenc...

As the MM side valve engine is virtually Morris 8 you could try:- The Morris Eight Parts Centre (Dave Parrish) 83 Freemans Lane Hayes Middx UB32NJ tel: 01815737008 or:- http://www.spares-group.co.uk/ Dave Parrish died a number of years ago, I believe he was in his 80's when he died - I understand T...

Re: Parts needed for waterpump mounting on USHM3
I've a feeling the thread in the alloy water housing should be 1/8" BSP - I'd ask ESM to confirm that this is the case - if so then the following brass drain taps on the vintagecarparts website should fit, together with a suitable fibre washer - their part numbers are: 341 & 338. 1/8" ...
