Re: 57 Saloon, rotten!

Over winter I'll go around the entire car touching in all the little bits, I want to remove things like the door strikers and clean them off, everything has been painted over in the past.

Re: 57 Saloon, rotten!

I'm still having upload issues, I'm extracting zip files to get them!

She hasn't got any wings on yet but the boot lid is on, I'm just filling and sanding the rear arches where the doors open, then I'll re black the inner arches. Just the rear wings to sort and fit the back bumper then.

Re: Mot Centre damaged my car

I think we have two main points here that are in my view rather separate from one another. 1) They jacked the car up in the wrong place.. If they hadn’t, I would not have a holed and buckled panel. 2) There is obviously some corrosion to the panel that is now visible once they damaged it. One does ...

It might be possible to alter the wiring in the existing motor to single phase depending what terminals you have.

Lovely :)

And old back end with a roof , some back doors and the sides filled in would make a lovely little garden store!

Go for it, as long as you build up the layers slowly they don't run like the little rattle cans from a typical motor factors used to.

Re: 57 Saloon, rotten!

It was coffee actually :P A well earned one I reckon, I think cans can be ok if they are from the proper paint places, it's just their regular stuff rammed in a can with the hardner, less mess too. I had 4 cans made up, I've used about half a can on the rear bumper valance and a can and a half...

Re: 57 Saloon, rotten!

Got the rear end painted, colour match looks good, I had to get a tint added to the factory Sage using one of my wings as the guinea pig. Door openings still to do and a good wet sand and polish, not bad for rattle cans though :) http://i997.photobucket.com/albums/af100/stingraypete/Mobile%20Uploads...
