I was asked on Tuesday and as always with TV it is short notice and expectation to do things `because it is tv`.

Anyway I had a valid excuse as I do not own a Minor.

The mx5 engine is quite long so would require bulkhead mods.

I do know of a Minor being built with a mx5 engine box and also the suspension.

We used to leave most of the original bulkhead in position and just put a new sheet over the top. What does the tacho read at tickover?

Where does the tacho pick up the signal from and what ignition system are you running?

My first thought would be the tacho is faulty.

The great thing is we all like these cars (notice how I did not say Morris Minors in case I upset somebody....) for different reasons.

We have used an All agro (Allegro) bench seat in a pickup. I would imagine it would be harder to find an Allegro now than actually fit it.
