Remember that when you are just topping up and not draining then you are not doing anything to improve the existing quality of the oil. The other point I made was that ...

I once used gloss exteria house paint to brush paint a car. It looked good when finished. I sold the car for double what I paid for it. It still looked good about 4 years latter.

mike,

glad that you got sorted out. I have had my bottle about 2 - 3 years and have done dozens of jobs with it. Thats means that its only costing pennies per job.

Don't forget the you will need a regulator for the bottle.

You will find it a lot easier using stuff designed for the job.

Pub Co2 is not recomended as it containes impurities like Nitrogen. The impurities put the bubbles in the beer, do you want bubbles in your welding ?. Cam, I went to an open day held by BOC. I got one of the sales men to demonstrate the difference between Co2 and Argon Shield. Argon Shield does give...

Maybe it something to do with car not having the pedigree of otheir Morris cars of the time. Maybe it was seen as a mongrel compard to cars like the Morris Cowley / Morris Major / Morris Oxford.

I do think the idea of MOWOG is a good explanation though.

Does this throw any light on the subject ? How did the name "Moggie" come about? One theory holds that it comes from old English dialect, where "Moggie" was used to designate a loose woman or prostitute. It is thought that this name was given to cats because they mate repeatedly ...

I would say as other people have said its only water vapour etheir due to the cold weather / you need an oil change. If the car is only being used for short runs in cold weather and not getting warmed the problem can appear worse than it is. As long as your car has not developed a thurst for water I...

My settup is a scrapyard one from a Marina cost £10.00. I used a spare regulator as a junction box. I removed the internal workings and used the box as a junction box. I did not need to cut any wires doing it this way. If I wanted to change it back to original it would be no problem. If you buy a sc...

Willie, Yes I know it's been stated before that radial tyres offer advantages over cross plys. But for me it's the one that has made all the difference. Before fitting radials I was convinced that one of the back shocks was going to need replacing. The car would regularly brake away at the back espe...

Marrina / Ital Disc Conversion

On http://www.jameswhiting.com/page11.html there is a kit for changing an Ital rear axle to disc brakes. The cost is £793.11 + VAT. Iam sure that it could be done a lot cheap using scrapyard parts. Sierra discs and calipers should be able to be made to fit. All you would need is a bracket welding on...
