Re: Family Membership for partners?
Glad to learn that you and your girlfriend have a mutually good taste in cars. Ther strict interpretation of family member involves living under the same roof, but if you explain your situation to the team at the Derby office then they might be able to help; it's certainly one for the office rather...

Family Membership for partners?
Hi All, Not sure what to do this year. My parents want to come off of the membership, as they didn't join me on classic car days out (or use the benefits). However, my girlfriend would like to go on instead as she comes with me on every outing. We've been together a fair few years now, and are looki...

Members Area Access - Post Membership Start
Hi all,
I was just wondering, how do I gain "Members Area" access after I've received membership? I've been a member for over a month now but I'm assuming my accounts haven't been linked. Who can I contact?
Thank you!
Luke

Re: New Member - Hello from Chippenham!
Nice looking splitty. Will you be fitting a flux capacitor? Thanks Brian! I'm pretty happy with the ol' gal. Flux Capacitor.... well I might already have it for the DeLorean haha. I am also an avid prop/set maker hobbyist, and am working on a full kit to clip onto the DeLorean at weekends (and take...

Re: New Member - Hello from Chippenham!
Hi everyone, lovely to meet you all! Welcome to the forum Luke. Looks like a nice car and sounds like you've got your planning all sorted! Cheers for now. Tom. I’m quite happy that I appear to have found a gem. When I bought my last one I hadn’t a clue about where to look for rust. This time I was a...

New Member - Hello from Chippenham!
Hey everyone! I’m Luke, I live in Chippenham (Wiltshire), and I’ve recently becoming the proud owner of a 1955 OEW Morris Minor Saloon: https://scontent-lht6-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/29572330_2018187144921681_9043616694262558843_n.jpg?_nc_cat=0&oh=347546bf62bd7366b53ed08d9004fe08&oe=5B319955 ...

Re: Series II with a 1000 Door Lock?
According to Charles Wares the Series II and early 1000 door locks have different size parts so aren't compatible, otherwise I'd just use an early 1000 door nib on my current Series II lock barrel. They don't have any nibs for a Series II, and very rarely gain them apparently, but they can supply me...

Re: Series II with a 1000 Door Lock?
Further hunting unfortunately found the same outcome, and none are on ebay at the moment. The Series II nib/lock handle is no longer one which appears to be in circulation. Everyone I've spoken to hasn't had one in a very long time and advised modification... such a shame they are no longer made. BU...

Re: Series II with a 1000 Door Lock?
Where else is recommended? I've tried:
Bull Motif
ESM
Charles Wares
Tom Roy
DMG
Richard Plant
P.S:
Moss as well now
Charles Wares have recommended that I swap the inners for a 1000 door lock.

Re: Series II with a 1000 Door Lock?
Thanks for the messages everyone. Unfortunately I have called around and messaged every specialist in the UK today I could find online (around 6-7), and no luck. They all say that it's a very rare part and not made any more, with even second hand ones being hard to come by. Can I please leave this p...

Re: Series II with a 1000 Door Lock?
That's exactly what I'm talking about. Sorry if I was unclear. The door latch is missing entirely. I can see the channel inside the door it should be fitted in, but there's no latch. I tried fitting a later door latch but when pushed right in it just span in the hole so I'd assume a larger sized bar...

Series II with a 1000 Door Lock?
Hey guys, Strange first post, but I am having issues when trying to locate parts for my Series II (2 door, 1955). I bought the car without a functioning door lock on the passenger side, and now I am finding it rather tough to find parts to repair it. Has anyon before/ is it possible to, fit a 1000 d...
