It truly was fit and forget so when I saw the light and became a Moggy owner I cast round for another Sparkrite. Being unable (at that time) to find a 2000 I also bought the 4000 version off ...

Or, back the horse both ways by fitting one of these (if you can find one):-

Re: Cutting out if choke on for a bit too long
Also, probably wise to give it an oil and filter change as excess petrol swilling about in the bores will make its way into the sump, diluting and compromising the engine oil.

Re: What's my line?
I've decided to have a go at painting them on in old English white to match the wheels and grille using Humbrol enamel and striping tape. Wish me luck! 🤞😂 You could always try your hand with this sort of thing first:- https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/175386729608?hash=item28d5dd1c88:g:eR8AAOSwwL5i~UMV&am...

Maybe a previous owner has replaced the original AF ones with the more widely-available metric ones...minorissues135 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 30, 2023 1:46 pm I tried a normal 7/16" af but the 11mm seems a slightly better fit.

Well, looking closely at your signature picture, I think I may be right in saying that it appears to have a non-standard paint job.

Wow Phil - what a fabulous lineup of bands! Very much my era and to my taste. Was the Moggie's heater man enough to dry you out on the way home?

Re: 100k on the clock
I am looking to buy my first Moggie and have seen a possible contender, a 1964 salon which has 101K on the clock. I am looking to use as an everyday driver Suzanne Why? What exactly are you expecting from such a car? Now, before anyone accuses me of rudeness and negativity, I would throw in a remin...

But no one will - not at the price that the vendor is likely to expect to get for it. Probably the same reason that the second owner never used it either. The whole appeal of such uniquely low-mileage vehicles is the absence of miles and their 'preserved in aspic' condition, turning them into curios...

Mmm, doesn't look big enough to be a Humber to me; I was thinking Standard 10 too Taupe but the rear window treatment doesn't quite accord with that car, nor indeed does the rear wing:-
