Re: Too good to use on the road...

As folks say, some people are daft enough to pay these prices, but it has unintended consequences for everyone else. This just raises the baseline price (or the expected price - for some sellers !) of other Morris's. Even if this sells with a bit of discount, all of a sudden folks think a good four ...

Re: Crossply to radials - What size? (1954 4 door splitscreen)

I've just purchased and fitted some 155 x 14 Toyo's from ESM (I think they are old bull motif stock) and they look pretty good on the car - can't really get much of a test drive just now.... Just under £49 ea delivered if bought via eBay rather than their website, so pretty good value too.

Re: boot boards

I'd have to agree with John and Mike. I have never seen anything other than black boards.
I have a very original 52 sidevalve tourer that has been untouched since the late sixties and it has got black boards and I'm pretty sure they have never touched or repainted.

Re: Adderley Park Number details needed

Currently selecting images - sadly no Abingdon chassis plates to illustrate - but getting there slowly. As stated previously, had hoped to put bodyshell codes into month/year range, ie via the Z12345 nos. can determine vehicle approx age. Though it DOES appear bodyshell codes ran alongside each oth...

Re: National rally 2019

Thanks Dean, Manyminors

That would make sense. I've seen a few different photos of the car and it looks slightly different in each one. It would make sense though, seems like Thames blue was an option until mid '52 and my car is just slightly later than that, September 52.

Cheers

Re: National rally 2019

Thanks for all the great photos Dean. Looks like there was some great cars there and I've missed out ☹️ The early 52 tourer, OCV 648, does anyone know what colour it is ? Is that Birch Grey ? I have a 52 tourer in birch grey also, but it is so faded and bleached by the sun, it is hard to tell what i...

Me too please Chris.

If you are still needing Adderley Park vehicle numbers, let me know. I can get details for a couple of late vans.

Thanks

Woman finishes Aberdeen to Cape Town Morris Minor trip http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-n ... d-46855110

She made it successfully at the weekend. Not too surprising really, it was the right car for the job !

Re: Lowlight saloon on ebay

This new set of photos is certainly more revealing than the previous ones. Definitely looks like a big job, but it seems straight and importantly, not messed around with. Hopefully someone will take it on and bring it back to life. Would be a shame to see it broken for spares.

Re: Lowlight saloon on ebay

It looks fairly complete and original but a bit crispy.

There were a range of values suggested for it, ranging from "whatever someone will pay for it" to the optimistic " ask £5000 for it" interested to watch and see what it makes.

Re: Parcel shelf

I recently fitted a new parcel shelf to a 66 saloon and the rear of the shelf was fixed to the bulkhead with a number of large screws (similar to those holding the gearbox cover on) into tapped holes rather than rivets.

Morning all

As this one is local to me, I popped across this morning for a look. The car has now been sold so is no longer available.

Cheers
