Re: EBAY SCAMMER AT IT AGAIN
Every time these scumbags come on eBay with these ridiculous and obvious scams, I'm tempted (just for a laugh) to go along with it and either make an offer or ask to see the vehicle/boat/motor-bike or whatever it is. I remember 'sleeper' making that, in my opinion, rather too generous bid :D but has...
Re: Antenna
My issue, to be clear, is not so much with Chinese products per se, rather with any shoddily manufactured goods or those made of poor quality materials........many of which, in my experience, emanate from that part of the world! I don't like paying more than I have to, just like anyone else, but I'm...

Re: Out with the Old, In with the Not quite as Old!
Mike, I don't know whether you intend replacing the window-runner felt 'in situ' i.e. with the windows still fitted to the doors or with the frames completely removed. If the latter, read no further and press 'return' now. :D I did mine 'in situ' and actually quite enjoyed doing it. The one tip I wo...
Re: Antenna
I fitted one of these: https://www.raysmith.co.uk/products/retrosound-classic-amplified-am-fm-hide-away-aerial-hidden-pa1-html Not the cheapest by any manner of means, as almost identical looking devices can be bought from any one of about 25 Chinese-based outlets for under a fiver! I fitted mine in...

Re: COMPETITION TIME
Every post carries a unique reference number Great idea, love it - but are you sure that is not going to put extra strain on an already creaking system and that it's not going to blow a fuse even more often? :D Not having a 'pop', by the way. I'm just making a bit of fun, as I sure you guys are doi...

Re: Who's had the Covid vaccine? Anyone going to refuse it?
I can't understand the fuss the EU are making. They're complaining about not getting enough AZ vaccine, yet they have stockpiles of it because they've not been using it. :-? I had to laugh (ironic-style) today when I heard that the EU leaders were going to have a meeting to discuss the vaccination ...

Thanks for that. If I was to have had a stab, 300 squid is towards the top end of my estimate but certainly not out of the way. If they make a good job of it too, it will be money well spent.

Thanks for that info. May I be a bit cheeky and ask what sort of money is involved here?
Thanks,
Alan

Re: Who's had the Covid vaccine? Anyone going to refuse it?
Whilst it's very easy for us all to be highly critical of governments (both home and abroad) I do agree they are often in a no win situation. It usually comes down to a question of balance, be it 'lockdown' v economic damage or, as in the case under discussion here, the possible side-effects v prolo...

Re: Who's had the Covid vaccine? Anyone going to refuse it?
Yes Nickol, it's all over the news here too that several European countries have temporarily suspended OA-Z vaccinations....apparently on the grounds of a higher incidence of blood clots. I have no wish to bore you all with my medical history, suffice to say that about 5 years ago I had a double lun...

Re: Who's had the Covid vaccine? Anyone going to refuse it?
Hi Nickol - I follow events in Germany quite closely as I have a few connections in Sindelfingen via a 'Partnerstadt' arrangement but I also have a young(ish) German friend who was brought up in Dortmund (he was my university 'Gesprächspartner' about 5 years ago) and he asked me for advice as to whe...

Re: Who's had the Covid vaccine? Anyone going to refuse it?
This 15 minute post-jab wait seems to be very much based on which vaccination centre or Health Authority you have, My wife had hers and was discharged immediately - she didn't even know which one she'd had 'till she rang her GP a few days later. I had mine a few days after my wife at a different cen...

Re: Out with the Old, In with the Not quite as Old!
We do have a problem with the driver's door paint lifting below the waist line but I'm getting the man from Chips away to sort it in the next couple of weeks. I might have got this round my neck......not for the first time.....but I thought 'Chips Away' was just that i.e. for minor body imperfectio...

Re: Who's had the Covid vaccine? Anyone going to refuse it?
Yes, I am aware of that and have fallen foul of it before but I am so careful now.Don’t press the submit button twice.
I also read that 200,000 care and/or health workers are reluctant or even refusing to take the jab. Methinks they might be in the wrong job!

In today's Mail : Lady Victoria Hervy is adamant that having a vaccine is a plot by Bill Gates to depopulate the world.

Usergroups and Friends & Foes
I have just stumbled across my User Control Panel and noticed a couple of tabs for 'Usergroups' and 'Friends & Foes'. I've read what they are for but, to be honest, didn't understand a word of it. :( Would someone be kind enough to give me a quick 'Idiot's Guide' to these tabs please. Thanks in ...
