Re: mild road rage

Only had impatient drivers overtake a couple of times in the last few months. Generally, they are really happy to see my Betty on the road. Quite often stopping for me and letting me take priority. Even get lorry drivers smiling and waving to me as we chunter along.

Re: Pins in tyres

Really sorry to hear this. Maybe like the others say, put a note big enough for them to read letting them know there is CCTV watching the car. This, hopefully, will be enough.

Re: FUEL QUESTION

Thanks a lot. 95 is definitely more accessible where I live than the 99.

FUEL QUESTION

Hi everyone,

I have a 1955 850 cc Morris 1000. It has a standard head on the engine. Each time I fill up with fuel, I add the additive. Can I use 95 Octane or, does it have to be 99 Octane fuel?

Thank you for your help

Re: RETRO RADIO/CD PLAYER

That's the sort I am after Les. I don't want an all singing, dancing , do the dishes etc as I just don't understand it all. Just want something I can turn the knob, put my CD in and away I go. Went to Halfords today, surprised at how few they have in there. Back in the day, they had rows and rows of...

Re: Starting Dad's old Minor

Hello Alice, I am a lady moggie owner/driver but I am afraid I am a little older than yourself. My first car was a moggie when I was 18, a black 4 door saloon with a red stripe down the side. As the year's went on and the children came along, i switched over to a modern car. Now I am in my 50's real...

Re: CLUTCH PROBLEM

Hi, the clutch does not slip going up hill or pulling away. The adjusting lock nut at the end of the threaded bar is at the end of the threads at the rear end of the gearbox.

The clutch when driven is very stiff and jerky when pulling away in low gears.

CLUTCH PROBLEM

We have just acquired a 1955 Morris Minor Split Screen and we seem to have a problem with the clutch. There is no adjustment left on the threaded bar that operates the clutch plates from the clutch pedal. When driving, it is very easy to crash the gears and it is often hard to pull out of gear when ...
