i am quite happy to let the expert sort it out for me .as i want it done properly and dont want to learn the trade on this car as it it to special to me ,and would be frightened incase i damaged the original parts

did you manage to get them chromed .if not i could powder coat them chrome finish dont know if you know you can powder coat them chrome finish

john from jd tunning in south shields come to have a look at brenda today .took wires or here and there cleaned terminals checked coil .removed points tried to fit new points wrong ones sent .cleaned old points checked for spark .checked wires with some sort of meter.took fuel pump of stripped and c...

tried hitting it with hammer .only joking tapping it still nothing cant test for power .because im useless.getting someone to look at it on saturday

i see what your saying but i no nothing about any part of the car .thought they would just renew the inside .and leave the outside as it is .the whole car is original and trying to keep it that way .apart from the obvious tyres brakes ect.

testing fuel pumo
can anyone tell me if the fuel pump will come on when the ignition is on or do you have to pull the start button to start the pump.its a 1953 s11 803CC

got pump today.at first look it looks like cast iron .but i think the one im trying to take of is brass. .sorry cant take any photos to technical for me i have just got my first mobile phone. i personally think the car is a bit special ..but i suppose i would say that as its mine i think grant cramm...

got the fuel out today with pump .then took plug out and blew the pipe out from pump end as suggested .drained the oil. then put some water in radiator .next thing i know water all over floor need new water pump and top hose.
