Re: Seatbelt mounting bolt
You could check dimensions with suppliers on eBay, there is a choice of brackets . For example https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/394707625576?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=gnvCGhCvRzm&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=2BxJulB3QoW&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY Or fabr...

Re: Remote brake assist servo - how they work
Remove the vacuum hose from servo end and plug it, brake fluid can still pass through servo but without diaphragm assistance. Compare this brake feel with when the pipe is normally connected.
When working correctly the effect is dependant on what ratio servo is fitted.

Re: Diff oil
It’s no longer featured in this tin, anyone know if this omission is the way now or maybe just the make of grease. Interesting to hear. I haven't opened any of the grease we recently got, but it makes me wonder if ours will be the same. The silly thing was that at the time of purchase you could get...

Re: Sidelight/indicator earth
Once had one of the technicians ask me to look at why every time he tried to connect the earthwire for the roof beacon to the cab frame it sparked. I switched it off then attached the wire, i gave up trying to explain its 24v positive until its fully grounded

Re: Morris Minor Pickup 1965 not starting
So had they given you the wrong key?
Old cars don't always have the same key for ignition and doors, as locks get changed over the years. My ignition key also fits my boot lock but not the drivers door.
I put a notch in the ignition key head so easy to identify.
Glad you have hot it sorted

Unfortunately Les if its not in its original marked container I don't think you can as its only the additives. Unless we have an oil industry expert who will put me right :) To quote from a manufacturer The main difference between GL-4 and GL-5 gear oils is in the level of extreme-pressure (EP) addi...

Re: Fuel gauge reading half-full when empty
You don't remove the screws, simply slacken as the speedo brackets are slotted. I have had mine out and back several time and I don't even retighten the screw , just have them loose enough to slide the speedo back in. We'll worth modifications to you liners.
Good luck with it

Re: Fuel gauge reading half-full when empty
Unless it's different on a 69 why do you have to remove glove box and steering wheel to take out speedo?
Don't you have the hole in the glove box liner so you can slack the screws and pull out the speedo.

I wonder if it another case of poor quality replica parts. Mine looks the same type although invoice say genuine SU fuel pipe fitted in 2021, I will keep an eye on it. Only use E5 so not as much % of the dreaded ethanol , have just fitted viton needle valve as a preventative measure. 20240323_125936...
