Re: Poor EV reliability
Do you really need such long range? Fair enough if you do, but I just use the Leaf to commute, less than 30 miles daily, so low range isn't an issue. Plus, I love being able to plug it in at night and not being ties to driving to a fual station, but horses for courses, EVs won't still suit everybody...

Re: Poor EV reliability
My Leaf is a great car, though I doubt it would suit everyone as it's an old EV (62 plate), and thus has limited range. On a full charge, I get around 80 miles in summer, about 60 in winter. However, that's all I need. No VED, and it sailed through its last MOT with not even a a single advisory. It ...

Re: Storage with no garage
Thank you everyone, that's been very helpful. Nobody knows what the future holds, so who knows, in a few years' time when I'm ready to buy something, I might be in a totally different domestic situation! The general consensus on the FB group is against it, with a few exceptions, which appears to be ...

Re: Storage with no garage
Don't know about council garages, but the locals aren't the friendly type, sadly.

Storage with no garage
Afternoon, folks. This is purely a theoretical question o n my behalf, as it'll likely be a few years yet before I can re-enter the world of Morris Ownership. Does everyone here store their vehicles in a garage? My house doesn't have one, and I think that this may preclude me from ownership, sadly. ...

How Does MOT Exemption Work?
This is something I never came across when I owned my Morris (mid 2000s) - I used to go and get a yearly MOT, same as any car. But now, I see that Morrises are exempt, when was this brought in please? Was I doing something not strictly necessary in getting my Traveller an MOT? Also, if a car is MOT ...

Re: ECT 105D Traveller
Well, thanks to the lovely people at the MMOC HQ, I have made contact with Ector's current owner, and it's safe to say that he's still running, is in excellent condition, and is thoroughly loved and cherished by his owner, and has had an awful lot of restorative work done and looks amazing (she show...

Re: Introducing myself
I've seen and heard of many electric conversions, however I'm quite content with my Leaf at the moment - it still has ten out of twelve battery bars and is a most excellent little commuter vehicle. It also helps that we recently installed solar panels on our house, so charging it is hopefully costin...

Re: 'Smart' motorways
Personally, I'm concerned about EMT vehicles trying to reach emergencies without a dedicated "lane" (the hard shoulder). They'd have to negotiate the traffic same as the rest of us, whereas with a hard shoulder that's clear, they can just shoot up the inside of all the regular traffic, sav...

Re: Started learning to do custom painting
Lol! No idea what the tank is, except that it's probably a cheap commercial part that doesn't fit anything properly! Perfect for making mistakes on!

Re: Started learning to do custom painting
Thank you, I've got more, smaller bits on the go to practice my airbrushing. I just need to get a decent electric DA sander and a polisher, with some interface pads. Luckily, my day job is delivering for a car parts firm, so I can pick up all the consumables and small equipment for staff discount ra...

Started learning to do custom painting
I thought people may be interested in my first attempts at custom painting a motorcycle tank. Oddly, I've never learned to ride one! I'll be attempting more of this type of work as it's what I'd like to do for a living. Probably not quite what you'd put on a Morris Minor, though! https://imgur.com/9...

ECT 105D Traveller
I'd love to know if Ector, my old Traveller, is still going. Number plate ECT 105D. He was mine many years ago, and was my daily driver for quite some time, but sadly times got tough and I had to sell/part exchange for a more modern car just to get about, as I was out of money completely and had now...

Introducing myself
Hello everyone, my name's Judy and I'm a Minor enthusiast, though sadly haven't been an owner for many years. My last Morris was Ector the Traveller, ECT 105D, and it was looking up the car's details to see if it was still on the road (still don't know), that eventually brought me here. I was also a...
