Re: Wheels
Yes,spot on,he was apologetic though, but no concellation to me.
Re: Wheels
Just a recap on my tyre conundrum, I asked a local tyre fitter advice about what tyres would be ok to use. Credit to him,he helped out well and came to the conclusion that 165/70 14 tyres would be ok,due to the closeness of the suspension etc. They work well although he accidentally broke a back hub...
Re: Wheels
Thanks for replying,my moggy actually has 155/80/14 tyres at the moment and seems happy with them,I was trying to find more readily available size tyres or wheels that would fit. Thanks
Wheels
Hi all, anyone recommend alternative wheels to the standard moggy 14". I have heard marina wheels fit (albeit 13"). I have seen quite a few pictures of rostyle type wheels fitted to a few travellers and wondering about that possibility. I have no trouble with the wheels fitted at the moment...
Wipers
Hi all,can anyone recommend a two speed wiper system. I took the car out the other day and it started raining heavily and the wipers were pretty poor and I had to pull over and let the downpour abate a bit before continuing. Didn't they have downpours in the sixties, how did drivers cope back then wi...

Re: Gear Lever Gaiter.
Hi, my gear stick gaiter was knackered when I got my car and I used a rubber CV boot and bolted the steel bracket back on and looks good.

Wheel embellishers
Hi all, just a recommendation for you. If you are not aware of a company called AM Classical Car Accessories, then I strongly recommend them. I have just purchased a set of wheel embellishers from them and the trims are absolutely lovely. They cost £99.99 which for 4 I thought reasonable. In your sear...

Re: Lucas catalogue
Me again, I found a better way would be to go into your search engine and put in, The Classic Car Library, and the company eBay search comes up,detailing all items available.good luck.

Re: Lucas catalogue
I see what you mean about getting no results from ' The Classic Car Library ' website. I just tried it too with no results showing. I would try messaging them with your exact details and obtain a list of years available. As you can see I have posted the advert I purchased the cd ROM from,so hope tha...

Re: Lucas catalogue
I put into e bays search, )Morris minor workshop manuals.),you then get a load of various manuals and the cd rom appears as well. I opted for the cd version as I think more convenient.

Re: Water temperature switch
Sorry meant to add the car is a 1098 with a blanked off plug in the cylinder head. The idea being is the car had the wiring for a oil filter warning lamp( which is not connected to the filter and had no signs of fitments) and was going to use the wire to the temperature sender instead,so in case of ...

Re: Availability (or lack thereof) of 145/80 R14 tyres
If it's any help,my car is fitted with 155/80r14 tyres and they are available on line. I noticed a brand new set of 4 for £177.00. They are Kanyang tyres I think, but look good quality. Unless the car is doing excess mileage I think they would be a good buy. Tom
