Minor 1000 bonnet wanted, for a 1968 car

Looking for a minor bonnet in reasonable condition for a '68 car. Might be interested in a complete vehicle if it's not too far away, and good value. I am in PO22, which is mid way between Portsmouth and Worthing on the south coast.

Bas***ds!!
A decent looking car.
Other noticeable features that might currently catch the eye if seen, are the roof aerial and door mirrors on both sides.

As you say, everybody to their own. Convertibles particularly are prone to water ingress, which one of these vehicles was. Hence my comment.

Re: Spotted today.

Saw two minors today travelling on the North Mundham/Runcton section of the road between Bognor and Chichester, around midday today, within 5 minutes of each other! First one was a smart E reg? cream convertible with a red hood, and the next one going in the same direction, a saloon with a JJJ regis...

Re: Another insurance question

Try RH classic insurance on 01277 206911. My last minor was £78 fully comp with breakdown cover, and if you unfortunately write the car off, they give you the salvage back for free!

Re: Total Loss Salvage Value process

FYI - RH insurance actually give you the salvage vehicle back FOC if your classic is written off with them. Doesn't help in this case, but if you are unfortunate to have a write off, it sure saves a lot of hassle and heartache.

Re: Removing the kick plates

If you have taken the two self tappers out towards the top of the kickplate, that leaves four or five nuts and bolts nestling under the channel below the door aperture. These can be pigs and clamp the kickplate tight. If all bolts loosened the kickplate can slide upwards as the ' holes' are in fact ...

Re: Insurance

Over the years, I have never had an issue at all with RH. They're great! Latest Minor was £67 plus insurance tax £9.38. I also had legal expenses cover as an extra option at £9.38. The breakdown cover is included in the insurance premium, and also if the car is written off, they pay out and give the...

Re: Well Hello There....

The vehicle is shown on DVLA site as a black Morris registered 23rd March 1971 on MOT page. No further MOT record, so not been MOT'd since 2006, at least. You can at least apply for a replacement reg document as they do have a record of it. Wait until you have any further comments, as the cab may ha...
