Head gasket

Hi all. Can anyone tell me if you can get solid copper head gaskets for A series engines. I only ever use copper gaskets on my bikes. All I can find is tin sandwitch type ones that say they are copper but there not.
Thanks

Re: fuse holder melting

Methinks you have the fuseholder assembled wrong. The spring should be over the wire BEHIND the the little button end that contacts the fuse. NOT between the button end and the fuse. Thanks, unlike some replys that is a fair point and makes sence but for the fact that the ones I use come pri wired ...

Re: fuse holder melting

The 'spring' is there to make the fuse 'quick blow' - not really appropriate for a car where there could be highish inrush currents. The quick blow is to protect fragile electronics - not something the Minor is overburdened with. No not a spring IN the fuse. This is a small spring which will fall o...

Re: fuse holder melting

I had this happen to me. if its the type that take the glass fuse, it has a little spring that holds the fuse. I think its the spring which is the problem as it is in line between the power and fuse end. Its acting like a resister and gets hot. I now only use the spade type which I have had no probl...

Re: Heated Front Windscreens

I put one in my wifes car and was so impressed I got one for the van. Fantastic. my wife uses the car every day. Once started she puts front and rear heated screen on and lets the screens demist/frost. They work rearly fast. half way to work she turns them off. She works three miles away. Even with ...

Re: Diff question

Trying to be Fred Dibnah, When did Fred Dibnah last do a 130 MPH lap of the IOM. Perhaps when he is as old as you he will know everything like yourself. As a 30 year old he probably only knows things like taper roller bearings cant run out their races. Fred Dibnah :D :D No need to reply to this one

Re: Diff question

Thanks Les for the info on the puller. I take it that spacer with the numbers on comes off with the bearing. That is not shown on the moss diagram as a part. I saw the Guy Martin thing the other night. Very good. The man is a God in my eyes. Im a TT fan and have met him. Mad as a fish in petrol. he ...

Re: Diff question

Ha, tis just the kit Im getting. Something in the diff is whining and I can see nothing wrong with any of the bearings or the crown and pinion. All for bearings look ok. The side bearings are a bit Rattley when cleaned and dried but the races and balls look good. With a squirt of oil they are quiet....

Re: Diff question

Sound the same as well when spun so Im going to change all just need a puller to get them off. The two pinion be...

I ask about the bearings because the 3.7 diff bearings are noisey bit I have a sound 4.2. seems daft to buy...
