seat trim in correct shade

Newton Commercial have been really helpful with colour swatches but haven't got the correct shade of blue for my 1964 transitional minor. Is there anywhere else that can help with getting the correct shade of blue.

Thanks for your help

Engine thrust washer/bearings

My town use only engine has low miles but on inspection I find the thrust bearings either side of the main bearing on the crank have excessive play, is it possible to change in situ with the crank end cap removed and 'push/tap' round the top half of each bearing. Bound to be a bit awkward. Or is it ...

Re: Front seats with headrests

Thanks for the advice/comments I was hoping someone could tell me if the mini seats had a similar height at the rear to the minor, they appear to have a similar curve to the seat frame, the front fitting could be easily modified. If anyone has a late classic mini they can take measurement from I'd r...

Front seats with headrests

Cant find any comments on search regarding this so... Has anyone fitted classic mini front seats that have the head restraints, if so how did you attach them to the floor? Will the floor fitting that the seats bolt down to align with the minor ones? The mini seats are thin backed and would be ideal ...

Is it easy to do as a 1 man job? Also do the kits from ESM/Bull Motif include everything needed? The wor...

Rear Leaf Springs

Would appreciate some help as slightly confused by the references to 5 leaf 7 leaf springs etc on various posts, and best way to check rear springs. They're fairly flat on my 4 door saloon, the car has hardly been used in the last 50 years. Going slowly - 15mph - over speed humps the car seems to bo...

Thanks to you all, looks like I need to make me a tool!! Have now got the seal. FYi most medium sized people carriers wheel bolts are IRO 140 to 170@NM Insignias are IRO 170NM and the dreaded transits are 200NM. Most modern (last 3 years) cars wheels bolts/nuts are IRO 120 to 140NM So all are extrem...

Re: noisey diff

Thanks to both of you for advice, and Yes definately 18K - i have all the records and the relevant MOT's - bit frustrating really as the rest of the car is great. I suspect that some corrosion has got into/on the pinion/pinion bearing due to lack of use. I've got a workshop manual Phil so will re-re...

noisey diff

Have just got the car back on the road having recommissioned it. changed all fluids and pipework and brakes. Diff oil looked poor and smelt bad when changed, suspect it was original as car has only covered 18K from new. Prior to buying, when I originally drove it the diff wasn't particularly noisey....
