Re: Underbody Paint and Traveller whereabouts
I've just finished a 1964 MG Midget, I used synthetic chassis paint from a uk supplier, its nearly the same colour as the tartan red top coats, dries very quickly, but it will wrinkle any oil based undercoat paint..

morris eight series e
I realise this isn't strictly Minor related, but I am going to view an eight this weekend, it needs a new headlining, does anyone have any experience of doing this job, got any photos of the fixings etc, all info gratefully received.
Thanks
Rob

Maisie is one good looking woman! If she fancies a date on September 7th in Castle Park in Colchester, its the lions club annual rally.

side valve engine noise
I am asking for help trying to diagnose an engine noise on my Austin Ten, (yes, I know it not a Morris!) I would think the side valve engines are similar. I have just had it bored out, new pistons & reground crank with new shells, it runs fine when on the move. But when on tick over at normal te...

Re: Traveller Gutters
I did my own, I bought three lengths, made a co@k up of the first & chucked it in the bin, the next 2 attempts was successful.the most difficult part is getting round the corner, but the Ali is easy to work, but only cut and shape the lower lip.

traveller restoration
I would recomend the "Lindsey Porter" restoration manual (usually available in the local library) As for the wood. it needs to be made in a jig to hold it in tension,as it forms a strutural part of the rear end of the car. Fitting is a simple nut & bolts job I've got the tee-shirt! Rob...

RE: Traveller (AGAIN)
sound like a lot of work to repair the b-posts
may be posible to repair the post using a mig on spot weld mode & using a dam cloth to cool the area after each
weld..

if you are talking about the felt strips that are fitted along the top of the door (between the quarter light frame & the rear of the door, you need to level out the six spring clips, (they usually break ,so i would suggest getting some replacments before you start. best tool i have found is a &...
