Thanks for all responses, I found the repair panel listed on the Nordisk site. Its ref CHS 260 item No.34 Sill reinforcement panel for traveller and convertible. I will order one so I can see how it fits in on the bottom edge.

Nice welding! Cant see the panel on yours, but I expect reinforcing would only have been needed for a traveller and perhaps a convertible. Definitely not a cover sill job, the travellers are late 62 /63, these are original panels.
