Cellulose paint is excellent for diy use and easy to use but you do need plenty of coats to get some depth and be able to wet flat and cut back etc. If the primmer was flatted well and keyed then the cellulose should of stuck well. Just bought a new throttle cable from moss parts/ the pedal was really had to press and sticking.. was ok before i fitted new cable. removed it and greesed it made no difference.. in fact when driving it was alfull as you couldnt feather the pedal in traffic.. ive just put the original.. tatty green...

To be fair the chap I sold it to three years ago did have it for three years but never used it. He is now very poorly and sold all his cars now. The guy who he sold it to put it on eBay for whatever the reason is I don't no and as they say the rest is history. Hope it's gone to a good home and stays...

Be nice to hear what the quaity of ESM pattern wings are currently and what the fit is like and what you have to do to get it where you happy with it for painting.. there more then half the price of there heritage ones..

ESM for me still/ although if you order on line and spend over £60 you get free delivery but if you ring and spend same amount you have to pay which is very annoying as you cant always be sat in front of a pc!

Yes a warm enviroment is very important.. my tip is to fill a bucket of warm not boiling water half full and place the tin of paint in the bucket for a few minutes.. this will warm the paint before you use it.. also id use the best quality thinners you can.. ici is best other then that get the garag...

cheers Phil.. all done, i had to go a touch over 40ib to get a split pin in, like you said i didnt want to go backwards to get the split pin in so went slightly forward.. theres no play now as i there was but i thought it was to loose when i looked at it, sounds like you have a good workshop manual ...

I use storm force covers all year round and there superb. As already said need to put some lagging on the badge to stop it rubbing on the inside of the cover.. also I find in heavy winds if the straps are fitted and adjusted correctly they are very secure in serious winds .. and the car is bone dry ...

Looks like the red minor maybe correct as if you look there is grommets where the original wipers would of been.. looks like someones converted it too late wiper setup..
