I also recommend you use the distributor doctors points, rotor arm and condenser.
And if you do decide to go electronic then The Distributor Doctor is still your man. Why don't you ring him and get his opinion on points and condenser vs electronic?

Re: Anti Rust Products

I have used an Ebac 2850e in the garage for several years now. It certainly kept the condensation at bay and even if I put one of the cars away wet it would dry them within a few hours. The only issue is that, being a compressor unit, the condenser freezes up if it gets to about 3 deg.C, which it of...

This is what I use in our Mazda MX5 soft top which is also parked outside - one in the boot and one in the cabin: https://www.halfords.com/motoring/car-accessories/interior-car-accessories/air-dry-classic---car-dehumidifier-170096.html I have to regenerate them in the oven at about 60 degrees every ...

I agree with geoberni. The Members now need to raise this as an issue with Head Office.

After all, it wouldn't be the first mx-5 based traveller:

LOL. I hadn't seen that before. Mind you if the MX5 had looked like that I would have been more forgiving.

Re: Dealer or private purchase?

We bought our Morris Traveller privately, something neither of us had ever done before, but we hadn't seen anything else that matched the excellent condition of this one. We were somewhat nervous given we had little idea what we should be looking for and the sum of money involved although it turned ...

We found this a few years ago and have seen the odd one since in garden centres.

Re: Which new tyres for a 67 Traveller

We use Bridgestone B381 Ecopia 145/80 R14 on our Traveller and have never had a problem. The last one we bought following a puncture was £62.50 including fitting and VAT but that was 4 years ago.

Apparently the same tyres are also used on the Audi A2.

Re: Problem with memory card no longer locking into video camera

As a test I shoved a lump of Blue-Tac to wedge the card in and hold the retaining flap in place. Not elegant and it may fail when the Blue-Tac hardens but it was still okay this morning. If it works in principle I may swap the Blue-Tac for Sugru which SteveClem put me on to when he suggested it in a...

Re: Problem with memory card no longer locking into video camera

A quick update. I took all 16 visible screws out of the camera earlier and managed to get the side and bottom covers off. That didn't really help much as you can't really see or get to anything even with the covers off. I then reassembled it with 15 of the 16 screws, took it apart for the second tim...

For the same reason if you ever have to e-mail your bank or card details to anyone (to be avoided if possible) then hand write them on a piece of paper, take a photograph of them and e-mail the photo instead, avoiding the use of words like account, bank or card in the text of the e-mail. Much harder...

Re: Problem with memory card no longer locking into video camera

Sony have designed it quite well in that there is a groove one side so that although the card is below the surface when seated you can still get your finger in to seat and release it without resorting to screwdrivers etc. Sadly not the answer. I'm looking on the internet for a diagram of how the loc...

Re: Problem with memory card no longer locking into video camera

Thanks Chief. I've already done exactly what you suggested - transferred the card to a card reader and copied all the video I took that day. Everything came across fine so the card looks okay. I have even tried the card from my Sony camera and that won't lock in either. I've checked the manual just ...

We regularly carry two bikes on a Thule bike rack on our tow bar and the rack has never moved on the ball. This was on our modern car, not on our Traveller.

Re: Problem with memory card no longer locking into video camera

Simmitc: A fair question but I've checked it is the right way round. It won't go in the wrong way and I checked the manual just to be sure. I have to confess I did try thumping it to see it it jolted anything back into place but no joy. I have been studying it to see which screws to remove to get st...
