On a similar theme, I heard an unusual engine a few days back and using the flight radar app on my phone discovered the plane overhead was an Antonov propellor plane of some description.
What app are you using?

Re: Gasket material for Dyson vacuum

Order placed for the 2-pack from eBay. Should have them in the next few days. None of them are genuine Dyson, but they can't be any worse than the original. I must confess we have had our fair share of issues with Dyson vacuums, including the one upright that caught fire whilst it was being used. We...

Gasket material for Dyson vacuum

Our Dyson DC39 vacuum hasn't been sucking very well lately so I took it apart and discovered that the gasket between the body and the head of the cyclone unit was breaking up and blocking the tubes - those 6 big holes on the outer circle should be more like the other 7. The two concentric rings of 1...

Re: 'Smart' motorways

I haven't replied up until now because a) I wasn't aware I had to justify my vote and b) I am well aware of what the reaction will be from some despite what simmitc may say. Interestingly about 47 of the 62 who voted 'Yes' have not justified their vote but no one has chased them or suggested they mi...

Yes, just had a group of 5 notifications come through of which yours was one. First one was 14:23, last one 14:47.

Don't know what you did but thank you.

Re: Stopped getting notifications

Once again I seem to have stopped getting notifications. I have a couple from 22:09 and 22:441 last night (22nd) but nothing since although there are 11 notifications waiting for me when I open the Messageboard.

Can you take a look please Mike.

Re: welcome

Recently bought my first. Waited far too long to do this! Really chuffed and ready to start the tlc on the underneath. Welcome and I hope you enjoy your car. What colour is it? The inside looks grey like ours but the outside looks different, but that may just be the light. Your Traveller must be a ...

Re: advice on polish

I normally use Autoglym Super Resin Polish on my cars but may try the Meguiar's Ultimate Polish when I run out as I have heard good reports. That having been said I haven't polished the Traveller in 10 years as the paintwork is still fine, although I was looking at it the other day and thinking that...

Re: ethanol

I think the idea is that by switching arable land from growing food to crops to make ethanol then more people will starve to death, the world population will drop and therefore less CO2 will be produced. Oh, hang on. Maybe I've got that wrong......

Re: Traveller sealant

I would be interested in what ESM has to say as my Traveller needs re-doing as well. It was originally done with Dum Dum Putty but that is no longer available, for health reasons I believe. I came across Sugru for the first time on another post on this Forum (https://www.mmoc.org.uk/Messageboard/vie...

Re: Window frame to front door rubber? Help please

You could try moulding one from sugru. It made a great job repairing damage to the rubber inserts on my Beetle bumper. I've never heard of Sugru before. Is it as good as the website suggests? On the face if it it looks like an alternative to the big tubes of filler if you have a small sealing job, ...

Re: fuel

I tend to use Shell V-Power as I have been told that it has less ethanol than regular petrol and we do so few miles the extra cost is minimal. Also the Shell garage is the nearest to us. Certainly the cars runs nicely on V-Power. Having said that we fill up with other petrol when we have to and the ...
