Van wheel tyre width

Hi All,

I've managed to pick up a set of van wheels (4.5J) which need tyres, there seem to be a bit of debate on which is the right size tyre, 155 or 165. Has anyone got any recommendations?

Thanks,

Will

Sounds like Mike will be much better versed at fixing it, I'll hand over to him!

Re: juddering in London

Where abouts in London are you located? I'm in Manor House atm. Haven't got any tools or spares as the car is at home but I'm more than happy to have a look at the car over the weekend to see if I can help diagnose the fault. :D

Looks to be close. 8mm or 5/16 (7.9mm) peg so you might even make one from a piece of bar and a bent bit of rod.

Looks good, I will order some up!

Re: MM tourer rear side screens

I have a spare set that may end up being surplus. I won't know until I have my old ones rebuilt. The steel frames rot like crazy but the shape is simple enough to fabricate. I was going to make a spare set anyway if time permits. The brackets are also not too complicated to make. The parts which fi...

MM tourer rear side screens

Hi all, I've recently bought a 1950 MM tourer project. It's missing lots of bits, but I am reasonably confident that most of them are obtainable either new or second hand. One of the few bits that worries me is the rear removable side screens which were fitted to the early Tourers. They are complete...

Re: Roof lining boards

Hi does anyone know what can be used to cover the boards to look something like the originals please Thanks Ian I think there are different materials of headlining depending on the year of car. I've got to replace mine on my '50 and was going to use some of the material like this: http://www.woolie...

Re: Split screen rear light gaskets.

That was my review - basically it doesn't fit, so I re-used the 65 year old part. I've got 2 cars both needing the rubber under the front of the door frame replaced - perished - and cars are garaged, not used in winter and parts aren't old. Modern rubber components are very poor quality. Perhaps ad...

Re: Bumper re-chrome advice

I have just had my Lowlight bumpers rechromed. Cost £60 per portion. £240 total. I had one of my friends take them to London and collect for me as they are very heavy and wanted to make sure they did not get damaged . I can get you the details if you want. Very good quality. That would be great! Pl...

Bumper re-chrome advice

Hi all,

I'm looking at quotes for getting the front and rear split two bumpers re-chromed on my lowlight. Does anyone on here have a recommendation of where's a good chromers, and what sort of ball park figure is reasonable to pay for getting these done?

Thanks,

Will
