Re: No spark.

Sounds like you have been unlucky. I have electronic ignition on 3 cars and all has been fine. Didn't work on the Beetle though, so reverted to points etc.

Re: Morris Minor Specialists

So lucky here, the local garage is owned by an old car enthusiast and his son will take over from him in a few years. They are all steeped in classic cars, and the place usually has lots about. 5 minutes walk :D

De-caff used to taste awful, but they seem to have improved it over the years.

Re: 1936 traveller with no jacking points

They all had jacking points when new, but they are rust traps and pretty much useless. Consequently many have been disposed of over the years.
Mine have a rubber plug fitted, I take the plugs off annually and blast the inside with waxoyl, then put the plugs back on...yes, they are that useful!

I agree! Nanny state gone mad. Matching speeds as you join a motorway often means exceeding the limit.

Re: Best type of garage door

I had a galvanised steel roller door, manually operated by a chain, at our last place. It was robust, secure and totally reliable and you got a good workout using it! It was on a barn, rather than a garage,so rather large. Now got a couple of modern double garages and installed electric roller doors to...

Re: Traveller window woes

If your car sits outside it may be that the wood is slightly swollen after the recent damp weather. Being a natural material it will move and distort with humidity changes. If you are only a mil or two away let's hope that the forecast good weather will help your wood move that critical fraction and...

Re: Currently drinking.....

Yes, about 10 minutes off junction 23 of the M1. A lovely spot in Charnwood Forest. Some of the oldest fossils in the world are found in the local rock outcrops. The abbey was designed by Pugin (Houses of Parliament fame) and the grounds and gardens are very peaceful. Easy to understand why the monk...
