Re: Missing Posts and Threads

Thank you very much "Stillgotmyf1stcar".
I was hoping to find the thread and post in it, in case, the person that had the pulley read it again - sigh.

Re: Missing Posts and Threads

You started two threads in April about the same thing, this is one of them https://www.mmoc.org.uk/Messageboard/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=70097&p=637850#p637850 were there three? In my naivety, I ended up doing a write up of how to repair a stripped thread in 2 parts - this is what I was asking Louise f...

There was another with the title I had quoted, but there is no trace of it.

Re: won't start - now intermittent loss of power

Louise,
I sent you a PM in May, as you are one of the moderators, about a cluster of my posts, but you are not reading your PMs - please do so.

Missing Posts and Threads

I posted a topic in April about "Anyone got an early side-valve dynamo with radiator fans" and have been trying to locate it. It HAS VANISHED WITHOUT A TRACE! What is going on? I had a response from someone in Australia and they asked for a PM with my email address to send me photos. The person hasn...

Re: PM messages not leaving the Outbox

Not good news then as the ones I sent to
Pulmby74 in April,
LouseM in May
and
Cam in July
haven't been read.

The April one can explain why I haven't heard about an offer of parts from Oz.

PM messages not leaving the Outbox

Folks,
I've just realised that there are 4 messages, going back many months (include one from today), that haven't moved.
What can be the problem and how does one fix it?

George.

Re: Split-screen chrome surround on eBay??

Looks like it had been drilled too. I am not sure but I don’t think they ever had holes in. Not even at the end. We have produced a prototype joiner and firmer which are looking promising but the steel is still too thick. We have been promised a pair of joiners and a pillar to use as templates. I a...

Re: Lowlight with demister vents?

My June 1950 manufactured LHD export low-light has demist vents (see picture below). It was exported with no heater and no water pump, so why were vents incorporated in the dashboard? It was then re-imported in March 1960 and converted (not that well) to RHD. The steering column and wheel were repla...

Hi George,
photo of clutch return spring on my series mm
Hope this helps
BrianR
Hello Brian, does the spring go through the hole in the rod or does it go around the rod shaft?
I currently have a split-pin in the rod shaft hole and the current, very weak spring, hooked over the short rod end.

Re: MM clutch

Hello George,
I don't suppose you managed to get any pictures of the return spring fitting?
I bought a replacement spring as the one on my Low Light seems totally the wrong type and I never got any responses to my question about how the spring fits, and where.
Regards,

George.

Re: Paint code for the brown steering wheel boss

One colour I have used in spray cans from a local car spares shop was Ford Aztec Gold. There are several golds that are pretty close. I did likewise with the brown for my MM which did also have a brown painted steering column. Bryan, my '51 MM high-light has the all brown boss and column IMG_201909...
