Shed alarm possibilities

I’m thinking aloud here, I am going to buy a free standing shed alarm, that detects movement and sounds a siren. Now I’m thinking it would be handy if I could somehow link a mobile phone, that in the event of the alarm sounding, would dial my number. How could I get the sound of the alarm to cause a...

As a remainer I really do hope that we leave. Then I can continue to point and laugh at the leavers who will have to find something else to blame for their sad lives
——— I put my sad life down to seeing democracy being opposed. Whatever side had won, I would get on with it.

Re: Insurance - Are there any really specialist brokers?

My point was, if you are able to insure your modern car without problems, maybe that particular company would not refuse to cover your Minor.

Well I can think of one previous PM that I’m pretty sure wouldn’t have tolerated this, despite what the vegetables might have said !
Like them or not, agree with them or not, strong leaders get results, of course, having a majority helps!

You are also right that allot of people are going to feel cheated and very angry if Brexit doesn't happen.[/i wrote:[/b]

Whatever side one voted for, I don’t get the above sentence, It’s been voted on. End of story, it’s just a matter of time. Unless, of course, you dump democracy. Would anyone actually do that ? Is that even possible?

Good thought. This cropped up a couple of years back, I don’t think it was for general use, I could be wrong and things might have changed. Would be interesting to hear more!

If it’s just the Minor you’ve been refused cover for, how about trying the company that insure your modern car? I presume you’re still covered for that.

Re: Steering Rack

I had a crack in the footplate of my van, after drilling a small hole at each end to contain it, I bought and fitted a full length 1/8” plate to the footplate. You can just make it out from the picture.

Re: Steering Rack

The wrong position I am referring to isn’t to do with the ball joint fitting or the wheels pointing straight. I was thinking about the rotation of the rack, which determines the angle at which the splined shaft comes through the hole. The correct angle ensures the steering column engages the splines...

Re: Steering Rack

If you didn’t have much success, does that mean there is still no oil in the rack? If so then it figures the roughness will still be as you originally described. When you installed the rack did you leave the securing bolts slightly loose until the column was fitted. Doing that ensures the rack splin...
