Re: Series MMs For Sale
When the car is in the UK for 25 years, is not the same as driven on the road in this time. My (Belgium) MM is since 2010 in my barn, and before somewhere else in a barn. In a few weeks he is going to the RDW, from that moment he is a Dutch car. Without papers is not a real problem here when you can...

Re: An 1951 MM LHD, stripped, with a minimum on rust
Painted the grille and the first wheels before the new tyres can be mounted. Because it is not easy to get the original 520/14 tyres, I bought 155/80/14.[frame] http://mmoc.org.uk/mbimage.php?src=1460311909_12584 [/frame] With the old tyres, a short testdrive..[frame] http://mmoc.org.uk/mbimage.php?...

I do not know what is happening in your country, but on this way, the UK is going to be a cheap country for us ;)

I had an easy one, not special for the MM, so I used a little help to put him in the right position[frame] http://mmoc.org.uk/mbimage.php?src=1459970462_12584 [/frame][frame] http://mmoc.org.uk/mbimage.php?src=1459970502_12584 [/frame] The gravity point from the MM is important when you want to work...

Re: difference in brake drums with different wheel bolts?
my (LHD) chassisnumber is 122061, but rear UNF, Front BSF.
I got the car with an extra front suspension with UNF, so this means the actual BSF is original?
I will start the job in a few weeks, maybe first to order 2 new bearingsets at ESM...

Re: difference in brake drums with different wheel bolts?
At ESM I see 2 different bearing Kits, from 1948-1949, and 1950-1954, is this the difference also between BSF and UNF?
The only other way to check is take the drums from the car, and when possible, I do this at a later moment, not now..

Good idea, my MM brakes does not work as well as the Prius brakes, but air horns are also a solution ;)Mark Wilson wrote:Are the air horns to let people in front know you've got rubbish brakes?

Re: Morris Minor Sidevalve 1949
Try to find a local radiator, and let him renew in the area. I have one spare, and was starting for getting offers for changing the old block for a new, when I found a not leaking one. I keep the spare, when the other one is going to leak, I put this one in it. Find a leaking one is not a very big p...

Re: difference in brake drums with different wheel bolts?
I know the drums have different threads, but to get the other drum on the car, do I need to change only the drum, or also the other suspension parts? My rear axle has the UNF bolts, and front the BSF, my spare suspension has also UNF bolts. I like to drive with front and rear the same bolts. When no...

difference in brake drums with different wheel bolts?
My MM has at the front other wheel bolts as rear, but I have a complete front suspension with the right ones.
I ordered new bolts at ESM, but am wondering if only the drums are different, or the complete suspension?
Are the brake cylinders and shoes also the same?

Re: Series MMs For Sale
Not very late, because of a straight cross beam on the front, and no holes in the engine floor...
Maybe end 1951 beginning 1952.
As far I know, the later MM chassis were ready for the later engine.

Re: Heater valve
I use the easy solution:[frame] http://mmoc.org.uk/mbimage.php?src=1459160093_12584 [/frame] On this picture not complete ready, but at the moment almost finished. Always open the original valve, and between this valve, and the heater, an electric Jaguar waterpump. When you need the heater, just swi...

Production facility Morris Minor Netherlands last visit
Today the place, where the Dutch Morris Minors came as CKD, has the last option to look for club members. The building, still to find on Google maps, on the Kanaalweg 64, Utrecht, is going to be replaced by houses.. Google link: https://www.google.nl/maps/place/Kanaalweg+64,+3527+KX+Utrecht/@52.0793...

Re: Lowlight wing on ebay
Interesting, but in my barn is a brand new one, never repaired ;)
Only sandblasted to clean it from the light rust, and a little bit paint on it to keep him fresh.
So I will watch this to know what is a reasonable value for mine....
